“Despite the fact the English don’t celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend the Gunners can still be thankful for a home fixture against Aston Villa. The Villains are the only team in the league without a road win and have only scored one goal in their travels. Aston Villa are prone to defensive errors but suffer most from a complete lack of finishing from their forwards. Scoreless 5 of their last 9 games highlights a real problem for Aston Villa and something for us to be thankful for. Graham Taylor was supposed to bring an attacking style of play in his second stint as Villa manager. Instead he is still stuck in 1991 when his 3-5-2 worked but hasn’t done well this year. In a style described by fans as “”hairy-arsed caveman football”" it’s the same cross to the pack hoping for Staunton to latch on with a header. The fans were asking for Taylors resignation but recent draws with Blackburn(0-0), ManUtd(1-1) and Leeds(0-0) plus a defeat of Fulham(3-1) has kept the wolves at bay. A couple players to note would be Ulises De La Cruz and Peter Enkelman. De La Cruz comes from Hibs in the Scottish League and plays like Noberto Solano. He is fast, aggressive, has boundless energy and loves to go forward. He has a thunderous shot at 25 yards and is almost a fish out of water in comparison to his mates. Enkelman has been claimed the next Petr Schmiechel and has done very well as of late. With a sending off and perhaps the worst own goal of the year, recently, he has come back in impressive form and looks to keep a clean sheet behind a stingy defense. In a crowd of difficult fixtures it is nice to have one come to your home that should be an easy win. I say SHOULD. A quick goal could be all it takes but the team must give 90 full minutes of effort to get the three points.ArseAm Predicts: Arsenal keep the form that beat Roma and sweep aside Aston Villa, 3-1.”

“A surprisingly quite lead-up to the match, as we all still seem to be in shock over the loss to Southampton. Football Unlimited provides a preview of our match…
