“Lawrence Emanuel sends in this one…

A Chelsea fan, a Newcastle fan, a Man U fan, and an Arsenal fan are climbing a mountain. On the way to the top, each is arguing about how loyal they are to their team and what they would do for that team.

As the climb gets higher, the wagers increase. Upon reaching the top, the Chelsea fan shouts, “”This is for Chelsea!!!”" and hurls himself off the top of the mountain.

Next the Newcastle fan yells, “”I love Newcastle ….This is for you my Geordie Boys !!”" and he, too, jumps off the top.

Suddenly,...

“Many of you will recall the concise and informative match reports we’ve run here, courtesy of member Kali Korbis. Unfortunately Kali has had to relinquish her duties (right, Kali?).

If you have the opportunity to view an Arsenal match, especially in person, and want to let the rest of us know about your experience we would love. Just send me an email ahead of time so I know it’s coming and so we don’t have four people reviewing the same match.

“It’s been a little while since I’ve addressed the members of Arsenal America directly. First I’d like to say hello to the many, many new members we’ve gotten over the past month or so. I welcome you with a tinge of sadness however. For you were not here when ArseAm began. Those of you who were here will recall The Cannonball, our newsletter from the pre-website days.

While I’m glad we’ve got the website, it seems to have stifled member input. Or perhaps that has been the result of a lack of thought provoking editorial from the staff. Needless...

“This one could have gone under editorial or mailbag I suppose, but I never get tired at looking a Miss Prunella Face.

Take it away G. Rex…

Gerry Cox looks for something (ANYTHING, ANYTHING!!!) positive for Tottenham to take away from Highbury (’CUZ IT SURE WASN’T POINTS)

There is not much consolation you can offer a Tottenham Hotspur supporter after a defeat by Arsenal (OR AT ANY OTHER TIME) - especially one as comprehensive as the scoreline suggests (THOUGH IT COULD EASILY HAVE BEEN MORE COMPREHENSIVE, SHALL WE SAY), but there are a few crumbs of comfort for...

“For the most part the media did give Arsenal their due at the beginning of the year, so I don’t want to go off on a “”the media is anti-Arsenal”" rant, but the article below does give one pause. It’s from the Guardian and it basically sets out to find a silver lining for Spurs after yesterday’s drubbing at the hands of Arsenal. Now, I didn’t see the game, but from what I understand Spurs could have had 12 guys on the pitch and it probably wouldn’t have mattered.

So the article talks about how great Ledley King is, and subtly suggests...

“That sigh of relief coming from across the pond overthe past week or so has more to do with points from afew league wins (”"merci Monsiuer Marlet”"!) and thereturn to form of the Arsenal as there’s a lot offootie left to be played and spoken on. “”Bogey months”"be damned, the Arsenal’s about to kick it up a fewnotches!

I think I’d be remiss if I didn’t take amoment out to grieve for the poor scousers-NOT!;)Shame they couldn’t be drawn against my Bhoys fromGlasgow-Celtic(4 pots still to grab, lads!) and geterased from the...

Ken Bradley with a look at our friends from White Hart Lane…

The North London Derby between Arsenal and Spurs has been the highlight to the season for 90 years. Lately, though, the match has lost some of its luster and with the dominance of Man Utd. and Liverpool many consider these to be our most important foes. Perhaps it’s the...
