Francis Jeffers responds to Peter Osgood comments “Yuck, these grapes are sour!” - Manu Petit
Mar 26

I think we have set a record for number of appearances in a season on the telly out here. If according to Dan Winkler’s information we are on every weekend from now until the end of the season…..Arsenal will have been on EVERY WEEKEND this season out here except for the away games at Charlton and Fulham. I’m also taking into account any midweek domestic games as well as I remember FSW covering the 5-2 demolition of WBA and 2-1 defeat of Man City early on. That must be something that even the manure can’t even match. Finally Arsenal are getting the coverage that they deserve. Maybe Dan, Rick, EINY or someone from ArsenalAmerica can confirm whether this is correct.

–Sorry, this was submitted last week. But I know we have gotten a lot of love recently. Watched the replay of the Chelsea match today. Good game.

Could this be due to the relentless efforts of our Arsenal America leadership? Have Rick and Andrew actually gotten a whisper in the ear of network executives? Or is it because we’ve successfully foiled the efforts of the evil Yevgheny?

Note to self: Yevgheny and Prunella have been buzzing around Maryland in a Sopwith Bulldog for weeks now. Better whip up another adventure before they run out of fuel…

This would appear to be true BUT as we near the end of the League, far more games are on PPV than FSW. Arsenal have not gotten a weekend FSW slot in two months and the Chelsea game was the first time Id seen the Gunners in that two months.

That’s because the Chelsea game was a weekday kickoff. The ManU game will be on FSW too just because it’s a weekday kickoff. Probably the rest of our weekend games will be on PPV. I’d been hoping that when all the press and pundits started crowing about Arsenal’s overconfidence and how ManU were going to steal the league away from us that maybe ManU would start showing on PPV and we’d be on FSW. Hasn’t happened yet… :)

Actually, the Bolton match on April 26th is scheduled to be on FSW at 7:30 a.m. ET live, replay later that day. So there’s two matches on FSW (along with ManUre).
