Here are some choice words from a guy who has won exactly jack-squat at club level since leaving…oh that’s right, since leaving us…
Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has aimed a shot at his former club by branding Arsenal’s FA Cup replay win “lucky”.
The Gunners ran out 3-1 winners from Tuesday’s quarter-final replay at Stamford Bridge after absorbing heavy Chelsea pressure and hitting their London rivals on the break.
French international Petit told Chelsea TV: “It is unbelievable when you see the game again. Chelsea were so unlucky.”
“Arsenal had just three shots on target and scored three goals. It is so typical and I wish one day Chelsea could be outplayed like that and still win.”
– Yes, it was very lucky that our incredibly talented players took advantage of their opportunities. If the final score had been 1-nil to the Arsenal on the Terry own-goal, and Chelsea had gone off the woodwork six times, then maybe we can throw the word lucky in there. How about the previous NINE TIMES IN A ROW we’ve beaten Chelsea in the FA Cup. How about the DOZEN OR SO IN A ROW they’ve failed to beat us in the League. Just lucky? How about the fact they haven’t won the League in 48 YEARS! Just “unlucky”? Please. Chelsea FC is a no-class operation with punks like John Terry and the rest who got piss drunk and badgered Americans on 9/11. They’ve got a scumbag owner in Ken Bates and scumbag ex-players like that Osgood clown who suggested he’d like to see Jeffers get injured. But at least their fans are decent blokes. Oh, wait, they’re not. They’re a bunch of yobs who throw objects at the other team (ok, that’s an unfair generalization).

I’d like to correct Petit on one thing: Arsenal actually only had two shots and somehow managed to score three goals. Luck had nothing to do with it. We took advantage of our opportunities while Chelsea’s incompetence at both ends cost them.

Watching what I believe was Wengers plan Id say it went exactly as the manager wanted. Wenger didnt come in with Luck, he came in with a gameplan.
