Arsene Wenger has criticised Bolton manager Sam Allardyce over what he described as putting “unbelievable pressure” on referee Andy D’Urso.
Allardyce was widely reported before Saturday’s 2-2 draw issuing a thinly-veiled warning to Essex official D’Urso that, in his view, referees generally “showed a huge bias towards top teams” and that Arsenal “regularly intimidated referees”.
Arsenal manager Wenger told the London Evening Standard: “I don’t like the way Allardyce prepared that game with the referee. He put him under unbelievable pressure.”
– Arsene, four words: Don’t. wanna. hear. it.
The ref didn’t blow this one, any more than the ref blew it a couple of weeks back when Toure’s own goal produced a draw.

Note to Wenger: 6 minutes of stoppage time. Arsenal got the breaks and we still blew it!
