Added a new link today to Football Transfers Information, a decent looking site that has info on players and teams that might be making moves. Good clearing house of rumour information which will be the topic around here for the next two months.
And so a summer’s worth of transfer and contract gossip begins. I hear in the last few days that Freddie and Patrick are ready to sign new deals, while there’s still no news on whether Ray, Keown and/or Seaman will be back… since the obvious target of the summer signing season would seem to be coverage in defense I give you this idea, another soon-to-be-deemed Wenger-diamond-in-the-rough: Jeff Agoos!

During the post-season, many of us will turn our attention to other leagues in progress, such as the 2003 MLS season or the 2003 Mexican Apertura when it starts in late August. Any football fan will need to find their football fix somewhere on their televisions or in their bars for the next few months and Dream Team just doesn’t cut it.
Whatever competitions you may be watching, whatever players you will be rooting for, any passionate fan will find themselves drifting off to a magical, sometimes torturous land where rumor and speculation are kings and...

Wenger: ‘It’s simple, I am committed to Arsenal’
Ars?ne Wenger has moved quickly to quash media reports suggesting he will be leaving Highbury.
“It is simple,” he said. “I am committed to Arsenal and will not get involved in any of this speculation.”
Well what a past 12 days it’s been for EINY with a birthday celebration on the same day as the FA Cup final (THANK YOU, Mr. Pires!!!!:)) and the ensuing hangover of watching my beloved Bhoys lose out on the UEFA Cup and SPL in less than 5 days (1 love, STILL proud of you nonetheless!) -shades of May ‘80 when the Arsenal lost 2 trophies in a 5 day span too. But there was some good also as we all celebrated (I hope) the 14th anniversary of that magical night at Anfield by watching “Fever Pitch” or a season review tape of that year and toasted Michael Thomas for that magical...

Congratulations to Rob Silverman, the winner of our inaugural Arsenal America Member of the Year (AAMOTY) Award.
Rob’s been a terrific addition to Arsenal America this year and his articles have certainly been a hit with members as 8 of the top 10 most read submissions come from the man with the golden keyboard.
We look forward to more from Rob in the future. I’d really like to thank everyone who contributes to ArseAm, every posted comment, vote or whatever is appreciated and I hope to hear from more of you in the future.
I think we’ll wrap up the ArseAm Member of the Year (AAMOTY) voting tonight. Now, I don’t want to sway your voting or anything, but Webmaster Andrew is VERY close to having Arsenal America t-shirts available for sale to you, the folks who make all his efforts with this site worthwhile.
And to all the nominees, remember, you’re ALL winners in my book.
State of Arsenal Nation, Part IIc
Now let?s look at the defense. I think most would agree that this is where things went pear-shaped. Injuries, age, inexperience, lack of continuity. They all added up to cost us dearly in some key situations.
Sol Campbell ? Not a lot of complaints here. Sol has fit in well and does a fine job. I don?t get the feeling he?ll ever be the legend/inspirational leader that Tony Adams was, but I don?t recall him ever saying he was going to be. We knew what we were getting when we got him and he?s pretty much delivered.
Just been onto Arsenal.com where the first two pre-season games were announced………….
Sat 2nd August Celtic v Arsenal at Parkhead KO 10am EST/7am PST
Tues 5th August Rangers v Arsenal at Ibrox KO TBA
Not forgetting as well a certain return trip to Cardiff (THOF3 as I call it) on Sunday 10th August against the Manure in the Community Shield.
TeamTalk (www.teamtalk.com) is reporting today that Le Boss had a meeting with the principles at Real Madrid in Orly airport on Friday.
Wenger neither confirmed nor denied, simply stating he met with a lot of people on Friday.
Wenger went on to state that he has two years on his Arsenal contract and that he plans on honouring that contract.
Since this is TeamTalk, you have to treat it with a grain of salt. But if you were Wenger and Real Madrid wanted to meet with you, you’d have a listen too.
