Interesting, but saying that it is not as if we play a rigid 442 anyway. Pires and Freddie drift all over the shop and niether full back stays at the back for long.

  2. CDNGooner Says:

This makes sense - Arsenal’s got a lot of midfielders and if they get Kewell - this really strengthens the midfield. Pennant, Edu and Gio (moving back to midfield) are pretty good subs for this formation as well.

So how’s this formation? (with speculation - probably should go into the rumour page)

    Henry

    Pires Kewell Ljungberg

    Silva Vieira

    Cole Campbell Mexes Lauren

    Taylor

Yeah yeah, Bergy’s not in here but I’m thinking this would be a great starting lineup come August.

Spot on matey, that looks good. Also could easy change back to 442 in needed, with Kewell pushing further forward.

What would be so wrong with what in FIFA 2003 is called an “attacking” 442, sort of 2 diamonds with 2 in front?

    HENRY BERGKAMP

    KEWELL

    PIRES LJUNGBERG

    VIERIA

    SILVA

    COLE CAMPBELL

    LAUREN

    TAYLOR
