Moritz Volz has been loaned out to Fulham for the rest of the calendar year.
I don’t get this. I thought him to be on the edge of the first team. Right now if Lauren were to be unavailable, who would play right back, Oleg Luzhny? Seriously, someone help me out here, who is a cover at right back? The new kid Clichy, Garry and Hoyte were all left backs I thought. Would it be Senderos? Svard? Who?

Exactly!
I am really just PUZZLED by our off-season…
I simply don’t get it… we lack defense and depth at defense… and we loan out Volz? let Luhzny go?
and let Seaman go…
Makes ZERO sense… very frustrating… and I just hope there is a grand plan to bring someone in at the back… any injuries to our starters and we are screwed…

I bet our cover at right back is Toure. The guy plays everywhere else.
As far as our off-season, I think it’s been great. We haven’t spent a ton, and we’re stronger this year than last. Seriously, within our economic confines, what more could we ask for?
