Arsenal get Inter, Dynamo Kyiv and Spartak Moscow in Round One of the Champions League. Overall a crap draw for us. To ghastly road trips and a tough Italian opponent. We can certainly advance, but it’s going to be a Bataan Death March.
Conversely, Man U got the baby soft trio of Panathanaikos, Rangers and Stuttgart.
Chelsea got lumped in with Lazio, Sparta Prague and Beskitkas. Nasty.

It was quite neat watching this live on UEFA.COM. But as it went along, I got a dread feeling about our away travel to Russia and the Ukraine.
By the way, we were a red ball. Does that mean we play on Tuesdays or Wednesdays to start? Anyone know when the schedule comes up?

At least we are playing the Ukraine and Russia matches relatively early (Moscow 9/30 and Kiev 10/21) as opposed to Inter which its Kiev match on 12/10.

Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that Boris at the Bridge had something to do with the draw. I mean we are one seeded teams, and we end up with Inter, Dynamo Kiev and Lokomotiv Moscow while Chelski get Lazio, Sparta Prague and Besiktas even though they had to scrape 4th place in the EPL to qualify to get into the CL this season.

Geez oh pete, can we have ONE thing happen without people screaming conspiracy?
Draws happen. Either we advance, or we don’t. The future is in Arsenal’s hands.
And it ain’t like Inter are some podunk team either
