In an absolute must-win game, without Lauren, DB10, Wiltord or Keown, Arsenal put together an remarkable performance.
It was closer than it looked, then in the last 10 minutes the floodgates opened for three goals.
Henry bags two, Ljungberg scores again as does Pires and Edu adds one as well.
Right now the Arsenal are rigth there with anybody else in Europe.
Pushed to the wall by injuries and suspensions; facing European death straight in the face, Le Boss and the boys have strapped on a huge pair and done what needed to be done. Bravo!

Bravo indeed!
My current mindset can only be described as euphoric, I almost can’t believe what I just saw.
It’s the payback I’ve been waiting for since that dark day at Highbury, and then some. With the Birmingham replay coming after, I swear it’s never been so hard to go back to work…

Might be slim chances on this, but just in case…
Did anyone tape the game today? I idiotically failed to set up my VCR before going to work… I’d be happy to reimburse for time & expenses if anyone can copy and mail the game to me.
Cheers!

out-freaking-standing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we were fantastic out there… all around…
maybe there simply doesn’t NEED to be any
acquisition AT ALL… TOURE could be our right back!!!!! as Cygan played VERY WELL indeed…
Keown is on the mend… and is excellent cover!
VIERA isn’t even playing…. when he comes back… wooooooooow!
BEAMING …. in afterglow of a fantastic week
and YEAR for this team so far…
all the naysayers… all the peeps who bashed us early saying that we can’t win anything because we didn’t BUY anyone… owe this squad and LeBoss
apologies… they’ve hardly stepped a foot wrong all year…

I taped the game but I am letting some friends of mine borrow it first. If you waited a week or two, I could probably let you borrow for no charge unless you need the tape right away or unless someone else has it.

I had this nasty feeling in the pit of my stomach when I tuned into ESPN2 at 11:30 today as I felt that those wankers would pull their normal stunt of pre-empting the match for synchronized swimming or something else rather trivial. Thank God they actually showed the game. Even that Irish pratt Tommy Smyth couldn’t take the gloss of what possibly was Arsenal’s greatest result in the Champions League. We again broke records today. First it was our biggest win the Champions League and secondly it was Inter’s heaviest defeat in the competition as well. Have to admit that when they equalized I thought we had blown our chances, but I should know better than to write off AW and the boys. One thing that really pissed me off was the ref’s inability to yellow card any of the Inter player’s who were constantly hacking lumps out of our players during the match especially Matterazzi who kept whacking Freddie from behind. He must’ve done it 10 times and the official did sweet FA about waening him.

All ArseAm coming over in December are in for a treat. Highbury on European football night is a magical place. I just wish it was next week.
Amazing result, amazing support in Milan.

Yo,
Enjoy your trip back home and the game on Sunday hoping Fulham get some hard beating.
Dont forget my program
Yesterday was just F@@@@@ the best. Henry is now the player of the year by a mile.X’mas comes every 12 months but for the Gunners is every November.

I am in the same boat and desperate for a tape of yesterday’s dream display and ready to reimburse for anyone kind enough to make the effort to produce a copy for me. Thanks in advance…

I might have made a few remarks dissing Henry while at Nevada Smith’s here in New York watching Saturday’s match against Birmingham City.
For those who heard me, I apologize. I now realize I’m a complete dumbass.
What a match!?!? Everyone in my office thinks I’m crazy because I lept out of my chair and shouted when Thierry made it 3-1.

Plaudits have already been said. However a few extra observances. Arsenal are tougher this year and that helped us in Milan. We can play pretty footie but we have a hardness to us this year along with it.
I like the looks of Aliadiere. I think he deserves more minutes. Very cool head for an 18 y.o.
Lehman is class and adds to the team mental strength with his asking for silence for a moment in the changing room and saying that he’s never seen such a team with spirit and wanted to thank them. Very touching and classy.
Don’t forget, we did this with injuries to Vieira and other injuries as well. Imagine when we get him back and after the suspensions?

I have it taped for the “archives,” and would be happy to copy it for anyone who needs it.

My brother was in the San Siro with all the other travelling Gooners whilst I’m stuck here in the glorified-Redneck-strip-mall that is sioux falls, south dakota. I might have the luckiest sod of a brother in the world, but at least I support BY FAR the GREATEST team in the world. Must have bettered even my 1st Euro-mission ( to Belgium when we twatted standard liege 7-0 in the old cup-winners-cup, capped by a classic Eddie McGoldrick effort! ). Maybe now espn have seen our class they’ll show more than 1 Arsenal match every 2 years? Can’t say I’m too surprised by the reluctance of the kraut ref to book any milanese though, just makes the victory even sweeter! Ah, la dolce vita!
