Just A Thought Arsenal 3 - 0 Wolves
Dec 24

The Kentucky Gunner turns over this preview to Seth from Louisville, who, unbelievably, is a Wolves supporter. Thanks for the insight Seth.

So there is the long and the short version to a Wolves Preview (this is the short version - Ed.). There are times when you look back and wish you did things differently and I’m sure a lot of people at Wolves are saying this to themselves every day.

We were told that we wouldn’t “Do an Albion”. That we had a stable club and we’d be willing invest to stay in the Premiership. All that glorious TV money and the prestige of playing in the Premiership should have been something to look forward to. Yet the truth was that Sir Jack Hayward wasn’t going to invest much as British players are too overpriced.

So we took a chance on several foreign players and only a few investments have paid off. The same ageing pros have been doing a decent job in midfield and defence but there is nobody getting the goals we need to stay up. The youth players who had been extremely promising before are not quite making the transition to the first team. A few have gone out on loan while others are hot and cold in the reserves so with nobody filling the places and injuries and suspensions piling up the squad is getting thin.

For now most Wolves supporters would be happy to take a point from Highbury but we will be quietly hoping we can sneak all three as our hearts our bigger than our heads and our expectations are as high as they have always been.

Players to look out for:

Henri Camara-Probably the most underrated player in the Premiership, with lightning pace and good skills he can cause trouble for any defence.

Colin Cameron-Started out struggling but has started to adjust to the pace of the Premiership. He is the kind of midfielder who can change the entire match and if we expect to do well we will have to rely on him to be something special that day.

ArseAm Predicts: Time to start winning. Arsenal grab all three points with a 4-1 thrashing of Wolves.
