Let me preface this by saying that I’m not English and I don’t live in England, so this is pure speculation. I’m going to make some general statements which certainly do not apply to all…
But here’s a thought - Football is England’s game. They invented it and are very proud of that. Then along comes some French guy, and he has immediate success. That probably bugged some people. How did he do it? With a number of foreign players. That might have bugged some people too....

Some other observations from the Bolton game: Having watched the game you can’t gripe about the point. We were thoroughly outplayed for much of the match, but still having taken the lead I think we should have kept it. That?s the test a championship team.

Bolton drew level in the 83rd as we leave two points on the table. To be fair, they pretty much played us off the pitch in the first half. But we took the lead in the 57th through a Pires clean up.
Yes, we are still undefeated in the League, a tremendous accomplishment. But at some point the focus will turn from sero losses to too many draws.
