Eat your heart out tabloid press for headline scoop!
Welcome to another American Gooner - any one who can hit a winner on their debut (as sub) in London derby versus the hotspirts whilst playing in same team as ex-Arsenal (Boa Morte - and Volz ?) and ex-Stevenage Boro legend Barry Hayles is welcome in the EPL in my book. Admired McBride since I started watching MLS couple of years ago, and tho he might be a bit long in the tooth to ever become the new Yankee Bergkamp, as long as he bangs a few in against our enemies e’s alright by me!

So we’re missing Paddy for Saturday as we all know. So Ray or Edu will slot in nicely, personally I’d like to put them both in and put Gilberto on the bench. The Kid Jose will probably fit into the four at somepoint, but where? Will it be left will it be right or course upfront as many are suggesting. Where do we move everyone else as this midfield changes? And what should the favoured 4 (or maybe 5) be?

Personally I reckon that for the rest of the season we should be using the consistent form of Freddie, Paddy, Ray and Bobby.
Slip Edu and Gilberto in for times...

Our new 7 million pound plus striker signing has been cleared to go straight into the team after a one-match suspension incurred at Sevilla was not transferred. I am very happy man. Saw pictures of him at training and ?Monkey Head? teaching him how to stay on this feet. Can he be the next Ian Wright with no.9 shirt on?

Normally, when writng the preview, I attempt to be conservative. You never know when David sits in the shadows with his sling cocked, waiting to strike. Arrogance can be one of the biggest detriments to a club’s performance but at this time it’s hard to be humble when playing MCFC. ManCity is in an absolute FUNK! The yo-yo boys appear to be back and just itching to get relegated as they are presently the worst performing club in the Prem.

Can someone explain why our re-arranged game vs Boro is on Tuesday instead of Wednesday? We play Man City on Sunday so surely it should be the following Wednesday. Granted we may play a fairly different line-up but thats no reason for the authorities to make us play 48 hrs later.
On another note I sit next to Kelvin in the Lower West Side and he gets all his jokes from me - forcing me to write in and set the record straight!

Ed. - Ladies and gentlemen, you can catch the comic duo of Kelvin and MikeG this weekend at the Chuckle Hut in Essex!

New signing Jose Reyes won’t help Arsenal… this year.

Seems everyone is pretty excited about the arrival of the young Spaniard, me too. But let’s take a sober look at the situation.

Since Arsene Wenger came to Highbury he’s made some shrewd buys. In fact, he’s probably the best in the business at this. Henry, Ljungberg, Lauren, Toure, Pires. These were not household names when they got here. Now these guys are superstars.

Apparently, the club recently met with a focus group of supporters to discuss a variety of issues, including the move to Ashburton Grove, and the introduction of a new club membership scheme for all fans. Check it out here…

Ed. - Yeah, read this one earlier, worth a look.

Two Tottenham fans sitting in a pub. One turns to the other and asks “Where are you from?” The second fan answers, “I’m from Edmonton.” The first fan, surprised replies, “No way, I’m from Edmonton too! What school did you go to?”

The second fan answers, “St David’s.” “Wow!” yells the other, “I went there too!”

“No way!” shouts the second. “What year did you leave?” “Eighty-three” says the first. “Oh my God!” screams the second, “I left...

Imagine you’ve lived in London all your life until you were 18 but then go to university ‘up North’ and now you’ve been in the States for 5 months. Born and bred in an Arsenal family and a season ticket for much of your childhood, things would appear rosy but then you start about things and maybe it was never meant to be.

After the 2001/2002 double, i never thought I’d see a better team grace the Highbury field, but now I’m starting to wonder. Still in every competition and looking to perhaps out do Manure’s 1999 fluke, perhaps its because...

While I?m sure it blows away most American sporting events, Highbury has often been criticized for not being as loud or raucous as other stadiums in England. Fan groups have bemoaned this and now, along with the club, they are doing something about it.

For the Man City game this Sunday Arsenal supporters are being asked to arrive at the ground at 9am to help organize some special activities. They need folks to help distribute song sheets to EVERY SEAT IN THE STADIUM! Hopefully, with the words right in front of them more people will be inclined to join in and create a fantastic atmosphere.
