I live near Niagara Falls, NY but there are no soccer pubs in the area so I’ve been going to Canada to watch the games I can’t get on DISH. I discovered this great English pub in Mississauga, near Toronto. They carry all the EPL games available on FSW Canada and Sportsnet. They also have the Champions League and FA Cup games from Setanta. There is a cover for these games, but its usually $5-$10. The pub has a very friendly atmosphere and there is a growing Arsenal fan base.

PV4ever — I am going to be in that area this weekend. Anywhere closer that will show the Villa game?

There probably are closer pubs, but I ordered the pay per view package so I don’t go to Canada for the league games. You may want to try the Hound and Firkin Pub in Burlington, Ontario. It’s about 15 miles closer. I don’t have their phone number. Where will you be?

I live about 8 miles from Niagara Falls. I’d get together with you but I’m going to be out of town. I recommend the Mad Hatter over the Hound and Firkin. Since its Sunday you shouldn’t hit much traffic around Toronto. Remember, the game is on FSW Canada at 9:00 a.m., not 2:00 p.m.
It should take you about an hour to get there once you cross into Canada. I wish I could recommend someplace closer but I don’t know of any other soccer pubs. There certainly aren’t any in the Buffalo area that I know of. Call the Mad Hatter to be sure of the time but they are pretty reliable.

That’s right, I said Iowa. As I was ‘home’ for the holidays I checked out a pub in downtown Des Moines that my sister turned me onto. They only have three screens but they do have Fox Sports World and are happy to turn on the footie (as long as the Cyclones or the Hawkeyes aren’t on). They also have a magnificent selection of malt beverages. I enjoyed the full range of Fuller’s while I was there. It will be my new refuge when visiting the family.
