I was just wondering now that United scrapped a point today to move only one point ahead of us whether the doom and gloom merchants on here still think that we’ve blown our chances of winning the league? Just a shame that Durkin didn’t have the balls to award Newcastle a penalty when Tim Howard deliberately pulled down Shearer in the box. Wonder what he’d have done had it been Given bringing Van Nistelcheat? Still we all know by now that there’s always one set of rules for United and another set for everyone else!

Hey Galaxy!
you must be crazy….
we only scored 4 goals this weekend…
we better get a striker or we are doomed!!!!!!!!!
haaaaaaaaaaa!!!
we only have the most goals scored in the league!
Well…. I for one think that things are just ducky for the Arsenal at the moment…
Alive and well in 4 competitions…
nobody else is…
Most goals in the league… (with Utd)
Least goals against… (with Utd)
and one point back with many to be played…
oh yeah…. and undefeated in the league…
by the way….. being undefeated is a POSITIVE…
as far as I know….
so I don’t really mind the doom and gloom crowd whining about us… and woe is us…. we need a striker…. we draw too much….. etc etc…
I believe Arsene knows what he is doing…
and that we have a hell of alot to be optimistic about…… currently and in the future regarding this amazing team… it might only be January, but this has been a magnificent year so far…
ROLL ON ARSENAL!

Utd had it coming and sometime soon.
You should know Paul Durkin by now but at least admitted his mistakes..
And just to make one point People. As I mentioned please people if you are going to make a comment about what I wrote please read it first.
I know what I wrote and know we going to sign a striker soon but free speech you can agree or not.

Back to the subject at hand.
Paul Durkin loves to make a bloody name for himself and did it again today. I hate to say this but Mikael Silvestre’s goal should have also stand..
van Nistelcheat I love that names and cant wait to see that Cu@@ at highbury in march from the west stand.

My point exactly. Every Gooner should have faith in what AW does. After all he’s helped us win the Double twice plus the FA Cup last season. With regards to the shortage of strikers, maybe he should recall Jeffers from Everton. Then again we have enough talent at THOF to give one of the other youngsters a chance. I hear this David Bentley we have is the business.

Even so he should’ve given it. Like I said had it been the other way round and Van Nistelcheat got brought down by Given in the same manner would he have not awarded a penalty then? I very much doubt it! It’s time that refs actually follow the letter of the law.

IF YOU’RE IN THE WEST STAND I MIGHT GET TO MEET YOU, BLOCK S, ROW 18

Sure we are in a great position, but surely blowing last minute leads to Leicester? Dropping points to Portsmouth? Come on now!.
We also gave Boro the obligatory late goal….except in this case we’d already put four past them. If the game had been 1-0, we’d be looking at another draw. Just goes to show what we’ve been saying.

I would LOVE to see Bentley play up front…
have heard great things about him… and we were all wishing Arsene would play the kids this season…
what better time than now!
January 12th, 2004 at 10:39 am
No… actually…
it doesn’t…
that would be the DEFENSE blowing the lead…
if you want to actually blame an area of the team…
United have dropped points this season… right?
just drew at home with Newcastle… are they calling for massive changes??
Why would we want to change ANYTHING at this point??? I simply don’t see anything wrong …
Its definitely NOT BROKEN… so why try to fix it…
JUST MY OPINION… but if Arsene bought someone… if he bought 3 players… I would be all for it… he has carte-blanche in my eyes… I have faith he knows better than anyone, what it is we might or might not need.

Well we probably do need to get a striker because if another player gets injured you may see Arsene Wenger suiting up along side Henry. It scares me to see how little cover we have at forward for the next few weeks.
I watched this weekend’s game in an Oxford pub with a lot of Man U fans and a few Newcastle supporters. There was some minor quarrelling after the Shearer take down, and even more arguing after the corner where Man U appeared to score, but the goal was disallowed after what appeared to be minor contact in the box.
Either way, it was a great game and Johnathon Woodgate’s performance should be applauded. He’s a great player.

two words ….. KOLO TOURE!!!
I believe he would be a decent striker if needed!
and he’d surely love to try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
