It all turned to custard for Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United when Fulham stole a point at Loftus Road on February 28, 2004 in London. The champions now trail Arsenal by nine points with 11 rounds to go.

Karma bites Man Utd. in the arse yet again. They’ve now drawn or lost their last 4 league games. They went down in the CL after Fergie...

Arsenal fans have learned (oftentimes the hard way) not to count your chickens, but things are looking very positive for the club right now.

Mathematically Chelsea and Man United still have a shot, but by their displays on the pitch it seems that Arsenal have said, “Nine games to go or 90 games to go, it doesn’t matter.”

Two goals in the first five minutes (Henry and Pires) were enough to hold off Charlton. I believe Man U drew as well (it was tied late). If so, the lead would be nine.

More later.

Ed. Sorry about the lateness in posting…

A late season match against a top 5 opponent, but who would of thought it would be Charlton? The Addicks deserve a great deal of respect and perhaps concern, as they come into Highbury set on destroying the Gunners unbeaten streak.

Before we start, let?s get some issues out in the open:

1. Arsenal FC are a football club and winning trophies, not making money, is the goal. I fervently believe that.
2. When not rooting for Arsenal I work in PR for a number of companies that are involved in sports so I have some idea what I?m talking about.

So here is my question: Why is it that a very successful team, from the capitol of England doesn?t have the same marketing muscle as Manchester United?

It seems that after every ManUre loss, “Sir” Alex Ferguson bitches and moans an excuse as to why his losers lost the latest game. Recently he has been going after the referees. When Neviller got sent off for headbutting McMannaman in the City game, it was the referees fault for not stepping in. And last night, it was the referees fault for not going after Baia when he supposedly “made a meal” of Keane’s stupid tackle on him. Yet, both times, Fergy has said that he understands why the player was sent off. Does anyone know what the hell he’s talking about??...

The matches are coming fast and furious now. FA Cup, EPL, Champs League…

I feel very confident that Arsenal can weather the storm though. A couple of key factors:

The team has been amazingly focused this season. Where last season they seemed to let teams back in games, this year, at least recently, the team has managed to kill off games - or in the case of the two Chelsea matches, come back from being down.

Ed. note — Somewhere along the line this gentleman got it into his head that I said Parlour was rubbish. I don’t recall saying that recently - though I believe it to be true. I do appreciate Ray’s effort and he has been every bit the Arsenal man and for that I do thank him. I also agree with this post regarding the ‘behind the scenes’ men who are also deserving of praise…

Before you called someone useless look at yourself first and asked will I have done any better. Yes, I believe in Freedom of Speech but it must come with facts and not fiction. I don?t...

Seeing Rick’s announcement a few weeks back of Branch Offices for Dallas and Chicago made me realise how badly the Canadian fans are organised and represented . According to the recent poll there’s at least 20 of you who have visited the ArsenalAmerica site recently and hopefully there are more who didn’t bother voting, So how about getting in touch, letting me know where in Canada you’re based etc and I can put a list together and send it back to those interested. Maybe then some of us can get together for a few beers or whatever to watch some of the big games coming...

Edu has certainly made a strong case for getting more playing. Many people feel that Gilberto is an invaluable component. So who should be the odd man out? I say Patrick Vieira.

A week or so back I suggested selling Henry to Real Madrid and everyone jumped on me. Yet since then Arsenal have continued to win even though Henry hasn’t scored in the last several games. So I was right about that one.
