Guardian Salutes Bergkamp The True Architect

Everywhere you look today there is more and more good news for gooners! First and foremost is the official announcement that the funding is all in place for Ashburton Grove. Just as we all suspected, our new stadium is all systems go. Arsene Wenger said he is hopeful of being the manager when we move there?so are we all!

Chelsea proved to be a team of too many hard men and not enough skill, again. It was a good, tough game, for the Arsenal at least.

Paddy got his name on the score sheet after losing the ball earlier to give Chelsea their usual one goal start. DB10 cut them to pieces with his passing and gave Paddy the ball right where he wanted it. Edu got the winner, and who couldn?t help but feel good for him? Clichy had a pretty good game too in the absence of Cole. There were few prisoners being taken out there and he had one hell of a fight on his hands. The one thing that really stood out was the sheer class of the Arsenal team. Yes, Chelsea have a lot of good players but so do we and we?ve had them long enough to develop teamwork and understanding.

I?ve just read Rick?s article and I agree, he summed it up very nicely!

So, with Chelsea pushed nine points behind us and Man Ure only managing a draw against Leeds, it?s hard to stop smiling. Even the press have some good things to say about us today! There?s little talk of cheats and thugs when the name of Arsenal is mentioned and most seem to noticed that we?re a class above the rest of the oppostition.

Liverpool lost to Portsmouth and the only thing that could make me happier would be an announcement that Glen Hoddle was going to be their next manager! It was a scrappy game, from what I saw of it. I couldn?t watch it all, neither team showed much in the way of class. After watching our boys this was pretty a low quality affair.

What about Spurs? Again! Somehow they snatched a draw from the jaws of victory this time. It?s a brave man who takes on the task of making them into team.

Moving swiftly on, there?s the next hurdle to overcome tomorrow in the Champions Cup. Reyes will be ready I?m sure, and let?s hope that Paddy will be fit to lead us out. Come on you Red
