Stadium Project News This weekend had definitely been an ARSENAL weekend
Feb 23

Hello, although I am a huge Arsenal fan and would not generally want to go see another team play, I will be on a trip in England from March 11-28th. My 3 friends are coming with me and I want to take them to see a game. I know getting 4 Arsenal tickets would be next to impossible on either the 13th or the 27th (I dont even know if they are playing at home or not), but I want to take them to a game. Since we will be in London those two days, what other teams are in London preferably division 1 or 2 that I could see a game with a few friends and could easily get tickets on gameday? Any help would be great. I will always be a true Arsenal fan so I’m not switching sides, I just wanna show some friends what great football is all about.

A few of the other division games. I recommend QPR as it is close to central London and the stadium is really “tight” (i.e. you can almost touch the players). QPR is also doing very well this year and will probably go.

A game at West Ham is interesting too as it is a Premier League sized stadium.

    Leyton Orient on the 13th
    Brentford on the 13th
    QPR on the 16th
    West Ham on the 17th
    Crystal Palce on the 20th
    Milwall on the 20th
    Leyton Orient on the 20th
    Brentford on the 20th
    QPR on the 27th

    OK,

Arsenal are at Blackburn on March 13, home against Bolton on the 20th, then there’s the chance of a home Champions League match on the 23/24. Finally, there’s the match against ManUre on the 28th.

Your best bets would probably be the Bolton match and/or the Champions League. At least that’s what I would try for. Then I’d go to the Gunners for the ManUre match.

Bolton is sold out on the 20th. I’m going to be fying over for the game thanks to some help of Arsenal supporters. What was suggested to me if you can’t find a ticket is to go to the pubs early on the day of the game and ask around for tickets.

If they play a home Champions League game on the 23/24 March, you may have a good chance of getting tickets then.

I’ll be doing everything I can to get a ticket for the ManUre game, but if nothing comes up, it’s time to head to a pub and watch.

    Good luck!

You also have the option of trying to see Fulham. They are playing at QPR’s Loftus Road ground this season (a short walk from the White City tube station). Plus, they have two Americans, McBride and Bocanegra (unless he’s suspended), which might interest your uninitiated friends.

AND, it seems pretty easy to get tickets, as long as they’re not playing ManU or Arsenal. When I was in England earlier this month I went and saw Fulham/Aston Villa at Loftus Road and sat about four rows from the pitch. And, interestingly, I found out later that another hardcore New York Arsenal supporter was in the crowd that night at the other end of the ground. He had a seat five rows up. Not bad, for a pair of Americans.
