Sweet Jesus, what a game!
Atrocious defending by the Arsenal was bailed out by Edu, who could not be hotter right now. He has forced Wenger to make him a first-choice selection.
Arsenal blow the lead, twice, but this isn’t the Arsenal of last year. The one that let leads slip away. So once again they took the lead and held on to win, 2-3, in a huge away victory in Spain.
Edu grabs two and Pires with the other and the Arsenal look good to advance as they win again without a goal from Henry.

Spanish sides have been Arsenal’s bugbear in this competition, but I think this time the club are going to break through.
Celta Vigo are struggling in La Liga so some will say that the Champions League is all they have left to play for. Nonsense, what they have to play for is their domestic survival. This is a side who really only got to the 2nd phase of this competition by beating a Milan reserve side, have a new coach, some injuries and lost 2-nil on the weekend.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are more focused than a 15-year old watching the Paris Hilton tape. They have just too much...

Full disclosure, I?m a Barcelona fan. I love Dutch football(ers), so I?m going to be a fan of Barca. If they play Arsenal in the Champs League I?m 100% for Arsenal, but I enjoy the Catalans. That being said, I have to wonder what colour the sky is in the world that their President, Joan Laporta lives in. Here are some excerpts from a story on sportinglife.com. My comments in parentheses?
Henry Should Come To Barca - Laporta
Barcelona president Joan Laporta believes Arsenal striker Thierry Henry would jump at the chance to join the Catalan side (despite the fact that Henry has repeatedly...

I have just heard the news about the financing of the new stadium and have decided to put some thoughts up for comment.
Has there ever been a better time to be an Arsenal supporter? I don’t think so. We have without doubt a great team to watch, we also have one of the best coaches in the world and now comes through the news that we will soon have one of the best stadiums in the world in which to watch our beloved team. I think, therefore, that it is time for all of us to give thanks to the man who has made all of this possible. By this I mean the real architect of the modern Arsenal,...

Everywhere you look today there is more and more good news for gooners! First and foremost is the official announcement that the funding is all in place for Ashburton Grove. Just as we all suspected, our new stadium is all systems go. Arsene Wenger said he is hopeful of being the manager when we move there?so are we all!

Nice article saluting Bergkamp, who has played in more EPL matches than any other foreign-born player.

As a very young Gooner I can remember seeing 2 of the greatest players Sir Stan Mattews & the recently departed John Charles. They stuck fear in my heart when they played the GUNNERS. Over their careers neither were cautioned (YELLOW CARDED). I don’t remember back then seeing too many players sent off. Back then in the 50s the players took care of dirty players. I am proud to say until I left in 1959 I cannot recall any ARSENAL earning a reputation for being dirty or a diver.

It’s almost midnight out here in rain drenched California, and after watching a taped re-run of yesterday’s fine 2-1 win at the Kremlin I’ve just realised that everything that has happened over these last two days has been Arsenal orientated. I’ll explain……
Not only did we win 2-1 for the third time against the cockney cossacks from SW6, but…….
The manure screwed their chances of catching us when they let a Leeds player who has the same name as a former Arsenal striker (Alan Smith) score against them.
That’s not the only...

Hello, although I am a huge Arsenal fan and would not generally want to go see another team play, I will be on a trip in England from March 11-28th. My 3 friends are coming with me and I want to take them to see a game. I know getting 4 Arsenal tickets would be next to impossible on either the 13th or the 27th (I dont even know if they are playing at home or not), but I want to take them to a game. Since we will be in London those two days, what other teams are in London preferably division 1 or 2 that I could see a game with a few friends and could easily get tickets on gameday? Any help would...
