Somewhat interesting bit of disparages casted by Sir Purple Snot Locker on soccernet today. Editorial comment by the writing staff there seems to think it is an attempt to put pressure on the Arsenal to collapse under the weight of their own success. More games disguised as guile. The verbal equivalent of a handball goal, one could say (eh, Nistleboy?).
I for one think the Arsenal have gotten this far based on the discipline instilled by Arsene Wenger. It seems that, with Ranieri’s job quite possibly hanging in the balance of tomorrow’s result, and the fierce loyalty of his...

“Lose here and lose the title!” It has become the mantra on the Chelsea training ground. One title run is up and now the Blues see a possible end to a second. The Gunners, on the other hand, see a chance to move 9 points clear or drop to only 3 points up and a battle at the top. Here’s to the Red and White and space at the top!

Everything about my first trip to Highbury last week had an air of cosmic coincidence that seems too good not to share. It all started right before the New Year. After seeing a few ads for cheap airfare from New York to London, I took a look at the fixture list, trying to find the perfect day to set out on my trip to Mecca. Bolton Wanderers on March 20th — that would be the day I’d walk through the turnstiles at Highbury to see the Gunners live and in person for the very first time. I was set on it and booked my flight. Then I told my boss.

It was mentioned a couple of weeks ago by someone and I don’t recall it getting much attention, but it’s time to remind everyone about the FIFA/UEFA fiasco scheduled for 20th May.
The powers-that-be, in their wisdom, have scheduled France v Brazil for 20th May. Two days before the FA Cup Final.
For the sake of argument, let’s say Arsenal reach the Final. Thierry, Bobby, Paddy, Silvain, Gilberto, possibly Edu, would have to play in the International match under threat of suspension if they don’t.
They’ll arrive back as the coach leaves for Cardiff.
It’s...

Long, long overdue, but you can now find information in the Branch Offices section about where and who to connect with in Dallas and Chicago.
There are some great ArseAm members in both areas and I whole-heartedly suggest you contact them if you want to have a good time (no, not that type of good time, get your mind out of the gutter).

Ed. - These are unconfirmed and I don’t know the severity…
I’d rather that this not be the topic for my first post, but as I checked on the live commentaries of today’s International friendlies I discovered that both Ashley Cole and Gilberto were taken off early in their respective games due to injury. Looks like Sol and Titi had the right idea in staying home for these games. While I’m sure many won’t be troubled if Gilberto is out of action for a bit, Cole has been a real force down the left side in recent matches. I can only imagine how angry Wenger...

Rumours are circulating that if we win the FA Cup again this year, we get to keep it.!
I like the thought of that. Then we can loan it back to the FA under strict instructions that no ManUre player or red-nosed sweaty can get their hands on it. No need to apply the same criteria to S***s as they’ve no chance anyway.
There’s also talk that ex-Premier Margaret Thatcher may take over at S***s as she also has no interest in going into Europe.

Ed. - Raise a pint to this man! First year of Association football after WWII and he starts following the Gunners. They finish 13th that season. Fifty-eight years later and here he is! God bless you Sir…
My Dad took me to my first league match AUG 1946 it was the begining of a lfetime of supporting the Gunners. In those days it was not unusual to have a 60,000 gate. I never sat in the stands always stood at the clock end. We would get to the game at lease 2hrs early to get in. There were no lights to play under so some games started 12 noon. The police would use horses mounted to...

For some time now, I have visited websites of the Arsenal rivals prior to a tie just to see the perspective of the woeful on the goalful. For the most part, the writing and images are honest, mostly journalistic in nature and on occasion, fan driven and supportive. As a fiercely loyal Jersey Gooner who often travels over an hour just to watch them at the Darkhorse Pub in Philadelphia, I get a slight rush of satisfaction when I see our club regarded in the same light as either monsters or gods, with the final summation being that the Arsenal are a dominate force to be reckoned with and never...
