Goalkeeper is arguably the most difficult position to replace. We don’t need to look further than our major rival Manchester United. Ever since the departure of Schmeichel, a few ‘keeper arrived with Old Trafford with hype and reputation, left with their tails between their legs.
A fellow Arsenal fan recently suggested to me - if only Roman Ambramovich had invested in us instead of Chelsea, we would dominate world football. It’s an interesting assumption, but personally I do not agree.
One key strength of Arsenal Football Club is its ORGANIZATION. Along with Manchester United, and Liverpool, we are arguably England’s best organized clubs. They don’t sack managers for sacking’s sake, they don’t spend crazy money for spending’s sake; and most importantly, they run the clubs always with the clubs’ long term interest in...

Ed. Note - This is a bit funny when you think about it. Though isn’t Geller on the board of some lower division team?…
Consider this….
Here are a list of teams and people who will be rooting for us over the next few weeks.
Millwall, Sunderland, Liverpool, Newcastle, Charlton and maybe even Aston villa and Birmingham…

I had to go to the Arsenal website because I simply couldn’t believe that we could be handed such a hateful schedule! I can’t remember any club ever being faced with such a punishing run in?
The press sing our praises and build us up to a point where Mel Gibson is thinking about coming to London to make a sequel called ‘Passion of the Gunners’! Then the powers that be, from fifa down, conspire to put together a schedule that even the Marquis De Sade would blush at.
A big thank you to the growing number of members who are sending in submissions. I appreciate your efforts.
As you can perhaps imagine, with over 800 members and a fixture schedule busier than Paris Hilton’s party schedule, there is just too much.
I’ll make this more official during the summer, but I’m trying to limit the posts here to original content. By that I mean original comments/editorials from myself and members. You’re going to see less “news stories” here on the main page. There are several reasons for this:

Is anyone out there from, or familiar with, Charleston, South Carolina’s viewing options for upcoming Arsenal games. I went to the Pub Guide section in this web site and drew a blank.
If anyone knows of places in Charleston please get in touch asap.
Many thanks.

The official website has just announced the fixture list for the next week or so, and those at the Premier League should be ashamed of themselves.
While our name is Arsenal America, we feel we are kindred spirits with all non-UK Arsenal fans. Here’s webmaster Andrew, currently in China(!), with a report on the Man United match…
Good morning Arsenal America,
If there was ever a time to be away from Highbury, now would not be it. But due to this thing called “marriage” and this concept of “compromise” I find myself on the other side of the world in China trying to find a way to keep tabs on my beloved Gunners. I didn’t hold out much hope.
OK, I was about to try to do something witty and try to do an Arsenal version of the Catholics’ Lord’s Prayer, but, er, I got stuck after “Send out this day our midfielder Pires.” Ah well.
Point is, I’m RREALLY nervous about this game, and these next couple of weeks. But if we win it all….it will be worth it.
Oh yes, yes it will.

Just a quickie- I was extremely lucky to get my hands on a ticket to todays game, sitting at the faithful Clockend but due to some pretty serious underground issues, I only managed to get there for the final 15 minutes of the first half, in which Arsenal had a pretty good hold on the game. I wont go into the goals, we know how capable TH14 is of scoring as he did today, even against the likes of Manure, but instead the main highlights of the game for me were Gael Clichy, who played an absolute stunner and Jose Reyes whos tireless running and deft touches here and there prevented united getting...
