Best finishers in the Arsenal team Arsenal Unbeatable for Whole Season?
Mar 02

My wife has been itching to go abroad and has used my love of Arsenal as leverage. The problem is I ambitiously–but ignorantly, in hindsight–booked airline tickets around the ManU fixture.

So far I know of 2 options:
1. Buy on the net.
2. Try to buy outside the ground on matchday.

I don’t like to leave things to chance, so I’m leaning towards the former.

Any advice?

    Hello Mr.
Sorry sold out even before the dates were known. My best bet will be hanging around the pubs on the friday night. Hard to get tickets for big games outside the ground from “T”.

3 good pubs The 12 Pins, T-bird and the Gunners. Also try the Drayton Arms/Woodbine. 10 minutes away from each other.

I will be leaving for the game on the Thurs from Newark with Virgin but provided we meet United for the semi-finals “FA cup” the week after I might be able to help. Let wait and see what happens this coming weekend.

All the same I wish you a good trip

You’re going to find it very difficult getting tickets, but get to Highbury anyway. The atmosphere before the game will be great and you can always watch it in the pub with everyone else without tickets.

Either way you’ll have a great day. Stay away from Drayton Arms on that day.

Sorry Aussie, you’ll gonna have real probs getting tickets for the Utd game. Expect to pay big bucks for a ticket off of a tout, thats hoping the touts have a ticket. For big games like Utd the touts are generally buying not selling. You might have to pay over ?300. I doubt if you’ll get from the net. I’m going to the Utd game myself, luckily enough I got tickets before they sold out, which was within 30 mins. Best bet is to watch in a Arsenal pub

    Hmmm Kelvin,
Drayton Army. Ok I get it. I was just trying to help the guy. Been there once and was alright but nothing wrong to try for a ticket on the friday before. TRUE not on the game day

    Respect

It is “possible” to get a ticket to the match, but as others said, it will require deep pockets and a bit of luck.
Go to Highbury the day before the match and the day of the match to attempt to get tickets.
The closer it comes to kick-off, the more likely the prices will come down, because the scalpers don’t want to “EAT” a ticket. However, the more likely you will miss out on getting in as well.

I have done over to Highbury every year for at least one match for about 10 years running. I have always gotten a seat. I have paid alot of money to see a United match… but it can be done.
(Luckily, my mates with season tix will sacrifice a match for me if its not a “big game”!)

some thoughts: alot easier to get a “single seat” than a pair.
If you don’t have a BRIT accent, they’ll try and charge you even more.
    and…
Check the box office the day before and the day of the match. I actually got a “single” ticket on the day before a match from the box office… and the morning of a match. Your best hope is someone turning up thats NOT a tout, and trying to offload their ticket to an actual supporter for face value. This happens on occasion too. It happened for the Charlton match to a friend of mine. Charlton… is not Man Utd.

    GOOD LUCK!

You need a bit of luck here. If you have about 60 pounds to spend then maybe hang around the pubs speak to people and you never know. Is fun around highbury on game days so give it a go.

I dont think you will have seats together. Stay away from Drayton Arms and tout. Just stay away from trouble too.

I think you’ll pay, at kickoff, as much as 100 pounds per ticket.

I’d also suggest the Arsenal Supporters Club building behind the North Bank. They run a face value ticket exchange where people who have extras will sell them to other true fans just because they hate the touts.

Arsenal has told us that they have no tickets available for overseas members, for what it is worth.

  9. Davinho Says:

?100 and you’d be very very lucky, I reckon. Some of the tickets are already +?60 face value

Heartfelt thanks to each of you for your advice and, just as much, your words of encouragement.

I’ll try to make it happen but, regardless of success, will find some fellow supporters with which to enjoy the match.

Oh, and next time I’ll be smarter about picking a fixture!

    Thanks again, mates! Cheers!
