Ken Bradley previews Saturday’s match…

The need to go undefeated in the league had passed me by. I was happy with just the trophy. After winning the trophy at White Hart Lane as the Spurs fans applauded their teams efforts, and those of the referee, it seemed to cheapen the experience. Therefore, I want terribly to set a record and win the trophy without a loss. So lace up the boots, or Sambas in my case, and get ready for an opponent who should be a big threat towards this goal……Birmingham City.

First, a big thank you for those members who showed their generosity by making a donation to Arsenal America. It is a reminder that all the effort is appreciated and an incentive to continue to make the site better for the members. If you haven’t yet dropped a dollar in the tip jar, please take a moment to do so. Thanks very much.

Alright, let’s talk football. Back last summer when a lot of people were screaming for Arsenal to buy some defenders I said, “Our defense will be fine, what we need are more attacking options.” Or something to that effect. My feeling...

As we approach the close of a fantastic season, here?s a big thank you to all our members for making this such a great site. Wonderful contributions from regulars like the Kentucky Gunner, Ken Bradley, and the dozens of others make this a unique place for supporters of the Arsenal to share viewpoints, make friendships and debate the merits of the finest club in England. We may not always agree with each other, but I hope you all enjoy the opportunity to share your views with the rest of Arsenal America.

As most of you know, we?ve grown quite a bit over the last several months. This has...

What a year to visit highbury! If any of you are lucky enough to see a game, please remember you are blessed to see a great team. Show them how proud you are yell your head off. Lose you voice - enjoy. Through the thick & thin with Dignity.

Gooners love their team & the sport. I have been a Gooner all my life it runs in my Blood @ 70 I still get the same thrill or sadness. As as kid I remember getting a wack on the ear for using a 4 letter word because a lady was about 10 yds away.

There are some intesting rumours about Arsenal signing both Steven Gerrard and John Terry, also Van Persie looks like a done deal.
See Transfer Rumours site.

A couple of weeks ago I sat in the office trying to work out what game we could win the league. Birmingham at home, Portsmouth away more likely. Scum away was the dream option but I didn’t consider the collapse of ManUre and Chel$ki.

I thought I’d relay this story, as it’s both agonizing as well as amusing.

As many of you know, I’m now in Taichung, Taiwan. There is a large ex-pat population here, so a couple of the pubs show EPL matches on a regular basis. So I ventured over to one of them this evening (the Arsenal match started at 11 p.m. here) to catch the winner. I watched as Newcastle finished off Chelsea, setting things up perfectly for a Championship clinching moment at the Lane. So I sat there and waited for them to flip on the Arsenal match…and waited…and waited…but...

Ed. Note - Lots of submissions that I will be posting over the next couple of days, please keep them coming as we justly celebrate a title well won…

So what did we learn? Most Importantly, that we are Premier Champions! Champions! Champions!

In addition we learned that we are even further ahead of Tottscum than I thought. We also learned that Mark Halsey is an AWFUL referee-wait we ALREADY knew that, sorry. And we learned the North London Derby matters as much as ever to the people who really matter to a Derby-the Players.

In the coming weeks we can talk about what will be or what could have been, right now let?s focus on the present. By any possible definition, this is a terrific team and this is a fantastic season. The Arsenal clinched the league title WITHOUT LOSING A MATCH. Regardless of the league, regardless of the competition, that is a remarkable achievement. It speaks of incredible skill, mental toughness and an unquenchable spirit.

Winning the League isn?t easy. You don?t string a couple of wins together a find yourself lifting the trophy. It?s a long slog. 38 games stretching from August to May....

I don’t think I need to go into it in TOO much detail other than WE WON! WE WON! HOLY JUMPING JESUS ON A POGO STICK WE HAVE WON THE LEAGUE!

We’ve now won the title at 3 of our rivals’ stadiums in the modern age. IN YO FACE!

We needed a draw, and dammit, well, we got it. Thank you Alan Shearer, whereever you are ;)

Excuse me, I feel giddy.

— Geoff
