Ken Bradley previews Saturday’s match…

The need to go undefeated in the league had passed me by. I was happy with just the trophy. After winning the trophy at White Hart Lane as the Spurs fans applauded their teams efforts, and those of the referee, it seemed to cheapen the experience. Therefore, I want terribly to set a record and win the trophy without a loss. So lace up the boots, or Sambas in my case, and get ready for an opponent who should be a big threat towards this goal……Birmingham City.

City present some of the best and unknown talent in the league. Nevermind the likes of David Dunn, who has expanded the midfield threat, or Robbie Savage and the threat on your ankles. Several players have stepped up their game and produced a season that the fans at City can be proud of and a real threat to a Euro berth.

Christophe Dugarry was a strong leader and a hard working forward, but he impeded City’s abilities near goal. His quitting several months back turns into a God-send as Mikael Forsell has turned into one of the most lethal goal scorers in the league. Who would have thought that Chelsea’s highest scoring player would be on loan to City? It’s true and Forssell’s loan has been increased to next year. He’s fast, finishes well in the 18, very instinctive around goal and has fabulous skill. He’s even paired with Henry in Soccernet’s, “Team of the season”, how’s that for high praise!

Maik Taylor is another loaner who has been stellar. The 32-year old keeper is the main reason City is in the hunt for Europe. He is on loan from Fulham, who had a decent GK and could part with Taylor. Taylor is very agressive with crosses and with anyone in his 6 yard box (This includes his own players). He dives well and is very smart with his position.

Matthew Upson is one player that Gunner fans will know. If he had stuck around, and not let his own ego speak for itself, would he have moved into the starting XI, instead of Toure? I doubt it but it’s interesting to pose the question. He has settled in well and done a good job commanding the back line and protecting Taylor for long periods. He has a strong future with City and looks to improve his position with the National Team.

City are currently in 9th place, by goal differential, and look to move to the top of the “second tier”. Those who read the preview of Liverpool will know what I mean. One huge negative for this club is their work on the road. Only four wins all season on their travels and they can only muster 16 goals for. That’s huge when you have to go into Highbury, against the Champions and players are calling for the “Dream Season!”

ArseAm Predicts: This has the potential for a classic let down game. Arsenal have clinched the title, City are a good squad with something to play for. How much does the undefeated season mean to the Arsenal players? We find out this weekend. 2-2 final scoreline is our prediction.

Is now officially Arsenal wants to sign Beckham and the stories about Freddie leaving is another joke. More fiction and no facts again. Freddie is a Gunner and not leaving even for 15 k.

I don?t want us to lose our unbeaten run but tomorrow is going to be a day of celebration. After winning the league at shite heartless lane it will be more fun than football. Complacency is the key but don?t see Arsenal easing off. 2 ?1 with Lehmann’s own goal.

Wishing the Arsenal Ladies all the best on Monday. Will be there to support the Arsenal family

You can Beckham, I hope he goes to Chelsea…
but I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Freddie exit at years end. He’s one of us… and a very good player… but we would be just fine without him. Perhaps some of the young kids would get additional time in his position. Only time will tell.

Celebrations v.Birmingham?? well, there should be!
We will put the pedal to the medal when we need to in this match… and should win it comfortably.
Let’s make sure Keown, Reyes, Kanu etc etc get their medals…

About Beckham, Soccernet’s front page has Wenger saying he would love to have Becks but knows he can’t afford him. There, sorted.

    We’ll beat Brum tomorrow 3-1.

I think the Gooners will come out on top 2-0.

Birmingham have not shown well on the road this year, and Highbury is never an easy place to visit.

Lehman returned early from Germany with an injury, but I’ve heard nothing further to make me think he will not be in net. He’s probably feeling some heat from the sc*m showing. I think he’ll give us a clean sheet tomorrow.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Freddie left - he didn’t sign a new contract. How about Shaun Wright Phillips as a replacement? Best young right-sided midfielder around, and his dad would be over the moon.
