Leeds United may be the most dangerous side in the Premiership right now! Scoff if you will but it’s true, a cornered animal is the most dangerous.(Even if it’s a Peacock!….Leeds mascot is a Peacock I’m told) Leeds are currently in 18th place but only two points from three other clubs who don’t seem interested in swapping spots. Leeds can not afford to squander points and though they may not expect any from this match they most certainly won’t let chances go begging.

Ed. Note - Thanks to all who continue to submit thoughtful, interesting posts. I think you’ll notice that the last 10 posts are all from different members (or nearly so). This is far more in tune with what I think Arsenalamerica.com will become…
Firstly, thank you to all the people who complimented my last post. I hope connid didn?t mind me dissecting his opinions, but I felt it needed to be said.
Still, according to this sites latest poll 56% of us (and counting) think this season hasn?t been that successful and that we ?should have won at least two trophies?. I think...

Ed. Note - Great topic and some good work by Gooner Luke…
It’s widely accepted that Arsenal have the best youth setup in England, and with some astute foreign signings last summer, the Arsenal youth system, like the senior team, is truly becoming world class. That being said, only one player, Ashley Cole, has worked his way through the Arsenal youth system and solidified himself in the first team. In years past, Stuart Taylor has deputized admirably when called upon, but apart from those two, the much-heralded crop of youngsters has yet to pay dividends. Below is an analysis...

Over the past ten days, this season has been described as ’supurb’, ‘the best season we have ever had’, ‘a true showing of team spirit’ and on the other side - ‘a disaster’, ‘team showing lack of heart’ and ‘the fans are disappointed’. Disappointed?!? A bit of perspective please. We are unbeaten in the league and reached the Quarter finals of the Champions League. It was only ten years ago remember that the pinicle of the season was seeing John Jenson score his first goal for Arsenal in three years!!!!

Ed. Note - We received several complaints about arsenal.com today…
The organisation of the club website continues to annoy me. I wake up this morning and instantly put my laptop on.
I’m unfortunately dont have the privelege of being able to get pay-per-view and my local watering whole wasnt open for some reason(i wont name it because its usually so reliable) Anyway earlier in the season i subscribed to Arsenal Plus in case of emergencies like this.
So when i log onto arsenal.com it doesnt work!!!
The page just didnt load!!!
I tried it on 2 internet...

(Let me begin by noting my post began as a comment on Wandsworth’s outstanding piece, but me being me, went off on my own tangent in the process…)
Wandsworth Gunner’s piece on getting perspective was well-thought well-timed and well-written. This has been a devastating week for any and all Gooners, and has left us all with profound senses of shock, disappointment, frustration, sadness, embarassment, anger, regret, uncertainty, despair, and like anything that could inspire so much intense feeling, confusion.
And that is what most Gooners are feeling right now-sheer...

Ed. Note - Fair point made here…
I must admit I was quite surprised to see the list of reasons why we failed to go further in the FA Cup and Champions league limited to:
Not enough talent
Not enough heart
Bad tactics
Just ran out of gas
Although most people went for the Not Enough Heart, (which is still unbelievable to me), where was the, “Just plain old bad luck” or “We hit a bad patch here”.
Both games could have went either way, we were just unlucky in my opinion!
Still I hope the comeback against Liverpool...

Can we move on from this poll issue? PLEASE. Clearly we have some particularly junior brains responding to the poll, but low emotions can cause basic errors in judgement.
Let’s get back to ARSENAL and the point. We are all scratching our sore heads these days, and I have had problems trying not to think of the ifs, buts and maybes when I’m trying to get some sleep!
When we are doing well, and when we are not, the most influential person at the club is Arsene Wenger.

Coming from a young guy, I haven’t been a true Gooner for all that long of a time. I haven’t been here for any true “downs.” The past Week has been excruciating for us fans, topped off by the loss to Chelsea. With that said, we shouldn’t feel down about the team, we should lift them up! This has been a great season!

As of Friday afternoon I am out of town, returning on Tuesday night. I don’t know how much opportunity I will have to update, or even check the site. Fantastic postings these last couple of days, very much appreciated. I still have suspicions that the poll was hacked, but a lot of passion was shown here in both directions.
Good stuff, but if you submit over the weekend remember you may not see it posted for a couple of days.
Cheers and happy holidays.
