As you all know, on Saturday, July 24, Chelski will be playing Celtic in Seattle. I have my ticket, I also attended the ManUre, Celtic match last year and was delighted to have met several Gooners. In a sea of the wrong shade of red and green and white, seeing some of those who wonderfully wore their Arsenal strip, as if saying, “I support a superior club!” was just brilliant. When I make the trip down to Seattle from Victoria this summer, I was hoping to see the same thing, but then something dawned on me, why don’t we have an Arsenal America gathering? For all Gooners in the area of Seattle and indeed for all the games, why don’t we all have little gatherings to meet, share stories and get group photos! Some of us are below the US drinking age and wouldn’t be able to meet in pubs, so….somewhere we can all enjoy it? It would just make the whole trip to meet members of my second family before watching two teams that I don’t like and am only going to watch because it’s quality football. Just a thought!

Good idea, but no pub? I’m not sure there’s so many of us in the Pacific Northwest, but if it’s anything like last year folks will be flying in from all over.
