Wow, just think how good England would be doing if Michael Owen had made the trip to Portugal. What’s that? Oh.

Apparently he’s playing twice as good as
David Beckham. Beckham has not exactly played like the CAPTAIN of the England squad. You can have him… he certainly wouldn’t have done much for the Arsenal in my humble opine. (he was touted as a possible Arsenal target).

To be fair with Owen, first, he is never as “great” a player as ppl made of (I always feel his game is kinda similiar to Ian Wright, both quick and with a good eye on goal, only Wrighty was even more a deadly striker who never really got his fair chances with England, having lived under the shadow of two true great English strikers Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer), secondly Owen has just come out from a season troubled by injury, he doesn’t neither has the form or confidence.
Owen hasn’t really done that bad for England, look at Rooney’s second goal against Croatia, that was an excellent pass from Owen to send him through.

In other news, supposedly Wiltord is hours away from joing Trezeguet at Juventus. This would be great news for any Gunner fans who may have had to struggle with the internal conflict of supporting his success with Spurs. If it is true, I am very happy for him.
And West Brom didn’t get Parlour, either. Hang in there, Pele!
