I think Spurs has made a perfect choice for manager in this upcoming season. For a team that splashes out too much money for shite players (Helder “I only score by mistake” Postiga), what can be better than a manager that doesn’t know how to use his players so that they can play at their best ability level? France was a terribly managed team this past 2 weeks. The team focussed around Zidane who, several weeks ago said his confidence level was at an all-time low after being sent off for Real Madrid. And the pure magic combination of Pires and Henry was split up and they were on opposite sides of the field! Santini must find his strategies in his alphabet soup, because the strategy seemed to be: pass the ball to Zizou and hope… he didn’t do too badly, but they had the best striker in the world playing out of position.
Enough dissecting France’s downfall, how this plays into Spurs:
We never really fear Spurs, we like to laugh at them, their glory days (when were they again) all but done. Now they bring in Santini, who will undoubtedly look so lost, we’ll probably see Robbie Keane at left back, and Paul Robinson up at striker. And then when they lose, he’ll blame the players, like he did with France!
It will be a pitty to see Wiltord and Kanu in that white uniform, I do have a bit of a soft spot for those two…even though others might not. Let’s hope they make the wise choice and go somewhere else.
Just over a month to go until we start on the road to more glory! UP THE ARSE!!

I share with ur views, as I had a post early on after France’s draw with Croatia stating in some similiar points as yours.
Frankly, i don’t think Zidane played well neither. Ok, he scored 3 goals, but all from setpieces and penalty. Zidane didn’t look impressive at all on the majority minutes in the pitch. He skyed a few shots against England from way out of the shooting range, instead of pass the ball to build the attack patiently as France should be able to master it with their talent, he chose to shoot…
Most disappointingly, i can’t recall one single through pass from Zidane to either Henry or Trezquet. I can’t help but wonder how much Henry miss Bergkamp…

Never Never Never… underestimate your opponent!
France underestimated Greece, as on paper they were supposed to roll over them.
Santini is a BIG upgrade over what Spurtz have had in the last few years… if he’s lucky enough to get either Kanu or Wiltord to play for him, again, it will be an upgrade for Spurtz.
There have been more than a few big name players that have been linked to the Totts because Santini is now there… I hope he fails miserably, but I believe they will be much better than they have been in recent memory.
