Today I’d like to introduce you to a very talented artist, Brigit Collins. Perhaps you’ve seen her work on other Arsenal sites. If not, you are in for a treat. Below you’ll see what I think is a really fabulous work of art, and I know a little something about the subject as I studied Art History extensively in college. I encourage you all to take a look at her sight and strongly recommend you pick up a copy of this picture. Under any circumstances it’s terrific, but when you add in the fact that Highbury is soon to be banished to the history books this really makes an...

Second guessing Arsene Wenger and the board at Arsenal is not the usually a smart move. Sure, they?ve made the occasional error (Francis Jeffers), but overall, their track record is pretty strong.
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!!” Those were Muhammed Ali’s famous words. They became his tagline. And since he quit the ring, whenever an exciting new boxer shows up, the question he has to answer is “Are you the new Ali?” Make no mistake, men like Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and co are great boxers in their own right, the best of their generation. But the figure of Ali still strides every boxing arena like a colossus. And it’s not because he was the biggest and strongest boxer of his time. But because he carried off his victories with an unmatched...

I don?t want to be the one who said ‘I told you so’ (see Arsene’s done it again), but everyone is raving about the boy Fabregas. This article was on the BBC website and it reiterates what I said before, this kid is going to be brilliant. I don?t want anyone posting any comments about ‘its still early days’ and ‘he hasn?t come up against anyone yet’, I?m telling you that in all the years of watching football (and mark my words that?s a lot) I have never seen a better 17 year old and that includes a round faced Englishman who spends too much time with...

Glancing at the scorelines of Norwich’s last two fixtures and one tends to be mighty impressed. Travel to Old Trafford and manage a 2-1 loss and then travel to the north to see a 2-2 draw to Newcastle. Well scorelines are deceiving and that’s why you have me; to invest four hours of the last week and watch Norwich. What do I have to say after these matches….ManU and Newcastle aren’t very good. I’m sorry we were talking about Norwich, and I still say ManU and Newcastle aren’t very good.
It seems every comment Jose Mourinho has made so far, there must be a few key words in the content - “I”, “Me”, “Top Manager”, “European Winner”. If a manager is judged by his own words, then without a doubt Mr. Mourinho would be the GREATEST manager in world football today!
Jose Mourinho, when being compared to Arsene Wenger, claimed “Chelsea is a 7-week-old baby, Arsenal is a 7-year-old young boy… People should judge Mr. Wenger’s first 3 matches in charge comparing to mine…” Fair enough, though what he failed...

Personally I think Almunia should replace Lehman for at least two games because:
1. In the Amserdam Tournament he kept things very simple.
2. He has a cool head
3. He kept Albecete in the league
3. Conceded fewer goals than most teams including Real Madrid
Group E
Arsenal
Panathinaikos (Greece)
PSV (Netherlands)
Rosenborg (Norway)
I believe Arsenal punished PSV in Eindhoven two years back. Overall, a good draw for Arsenal.
During the preseason, there were two Gunners who showed a tremendous sharpness of form - Reyes and Bergkamp. And it clearly showed entering the new season. Two men with a mission. For Reyes, he’s looking to establish himself in the first team and the Premiership. For Dennis, I can’t help but suspect Bergkamp is determined to make the most out of (probably) the final season of his playing career.
Most would have seen the post match interview where TH14 sung the praises of DB10 and his words have been well publicized in the press since, but not all of them and it?s what hasn?t been mentioned since that I am intrigued about.
If you have taped the match and you have the full interview play it back again and see what Thierry says about Dennis and the captains? armband. After saying how well he played and being more like a 20 year old than 35, he points to the armband and says ?maybe this is why he is playing so good. Maybe he will keep it for a long time?. Now this part of the interview...
