I don?t want to be the one who said ‘I told you so’ (see Arsene’s done it again), but everyone is raving about the boy Fabregas. This article was on the BBC website and it reiterates what I said before, this kid is going to be brilliant. I don?t want anyone posting any comments about ‘its still early days’ and ‘he hasn?t come up against anyone yet’, I?m telling you that in all the years of watching football (and mark my words that?s a lot) I have never seen a better 17 year old and that includes a round faced Englishman who spends too much time with hookers. You may all come out with, what about this player and that player being better and I am not saying he is going to be the best player the world has ever seen but he is going to be a world star and we should enjoy him for now because I get the feeling in the next couple of years all the big guns will be after him, especially Barcelona, who are still pissed off that they lost him in the first place.
Fabregas the fabulous
Move over Wayne Rooney - there’s a new kid on the block and he is being hailed as “one of the best young players there has ever been”.
Arsenal’s Spanish teenager Cesc Fabregas has been sensational in the opening games of the season.
Especially when you consider that most 17-year-olds would be polishing rather than filling Patrick Vieira’s boots.
And his performances of composure and maturity beyond his years have left legendary Gunners goalkeeper Bob Wilson drooling.
So much so that Wilson, who won the Double with Arsenal in 1971, believes the prodigy has made more of an impact at Highbury than his older compatriot Jose Antonio Reyes.
Wilson told BBC Sport: “The player who has created so much excitement and generated so much interest, even more so than Reyes, is the young boy Fabregas.
“He is another diamond that Arsene Wenger has unearthed?
“From everything I’ve seen and everything I’ve heard about him, it is clear that Fabregas is going to be an absolutely massive, massive star player.
“I think Fabregas is one of the best young players there has ever been.”
Fabregas has starred in Arsenal’s 100% start to the new season, helping the team set a new league record of 43 matches unbeaten.
And Gunners coach Wenger admits even he has been surprised by the way Fabregas has coped with the demands placed on him.
Wenger said: “He has been up against Thomas Gravesen, Ray Parlour and Tugay - three men. And in every game, he has done very well. That is something amazing.”
Fabregas joined Arsenal from Barcelona in September last year, after Wenger had “watched him nearly every weekend in the youth team”.
Soon after, Fabregas became the youngest player to play for Arsenal at just 16 years 177 days old when he started the Carling Cup tie against Rotherham at Highbury.
He then became the youngest Arsenal goalscorer 35 days later in the 5-1 win against Wolves in the next round.
On Wednesday, Fabregas made it a hat-trick of records by becoming Arsenal’s youngest ever goalscorer in league football, notching the Gunners’ second in the 3-0 win over Blackburn.
And with the teenage sensation continuing to take everything in his stride, Wenger thinks he may now even be ready for a full international cap.
“It is not stupid to think that he could be called up for the Spain first team,” Wenger said.
“They have a lot of midfielders in Spain at the moment but they should not be scared to take him.
“He has been consistent, his work-rate and commitment are outstanding, and his football is a joy to watch.”
Those who were watching at Highbury on Wednesday were in awe of a precocious talent.
When Fabregas left the field five minutes before full time, it was to a standing ovation.
It won’t be the last time.
All together now
Fabregas woooooo
Fabregas woooooo
He’s only 17
He’s better than Roy Keane

Spot on! What impresses me most is his compouse, so cool and assured with the ball. His decision making is excellent, just keeps everything simple and make sure we won’t give away the possession cheaply. Watching first few matches, i think Cesc gave away less possession than the more experienced Gilberto, though fair play to Gilberto, he won more possessions back than Cesc.
Because he’s Spanish playing in England, naturally he hasn’t gained as much hype as if he’s playing in La Liga (imagine if he’s British, how the English media would make of him?). But that would only be doing him good.
I actually feel he could be Dennis Bergkamp’s replacement in the future, playing in a withdraw attacker role just behind Henry. ‘Cos as a central midfielder, though he has been working very hard, because of his small physical built, and not really a defensive mind midfielder, he may turn out to be a liability in midfield in the long term prospect.

As I write this, Jose Antonio has taken his fifth shot on goal in 30 minutes, with one finding the net. I guess you can count that as his vote for biggest impact Spaniard at Highbury to date. The choice is a tough one, and one I hope we debate for the rest of the season.
Hte question still remains, however. What does Wenger do when PV4 returns?

Marca reports:
Carrow Road ? In the ever-raging battle between Thierry Henry and new strike partner Jose Reyes to prove who is top dog at Arsenal, the former has scored with his head in an effort to steal the thunder from the latter.
Clearly, there are still problems behind the scenes in Wenger’s camp. Does this mean that Chelsea, 2-1 winners over Southampton, and with Southampton doing all the hard work, can take advantage?
We’ll keep you updated in the event another goal is scored in contempt.

Carrow Road ? Worse than originally reported, Robert Pires has slotted one into the net with his right foot almost immediately after Henry’s header.
Apparently the two are still not seeing eye to eye since their bust up in Portugal over the summer.
Title contenders Manchester United and Chelsea are no doubt rejoicing in their respective camps at the news. Especially since United managed a point from their game with Blackburn, a team that helped keep animosity high at Highbury by allowing the Gunners to once again put on their personal woes display no less than three times.
More later, for sure.

somebody pinch me! 3-0 at half time!
Man U were mightly LUCKY once again, levelled despite a clear cut hand ball from Saha.

Surely you jest?
When PV4 is ready to return… he goes directly into the starting 11… thats what you usually do with the best midfielder in the world!
Now, Gilberto Edu Cesc Pennant Bergy Freddie and VanPersie are a total of (7) players fighting for playing time amongst 2 slots. (PIRES in my mind should play every minute, he’s proven himself every year he’s been here.)
so… with Bergy playing so very well… and Freddie also playing well…. and Gilberto being great defensive cover… I see little time for the likes of Edu/VanPersie/Pennant/Cesc… there are MANY competitions and always injuries… but if there is a place on the pitch that we have a load of wealth, its Midfield. (VanPersie/Bergy can both play next to TH whenever we wish)
Tough problems to have for a team that doesn’t lose…

What a luxury, indeed…we’re jousting over which deadly force to take the pitch, and ManUre are selling off memorabilia to buy Rooney. BTW, hands off the George Best’s retired quick zip-fly shorts kit. S’mine.
Okay, take the arm band off of DB10, move Cesc over or send him to the bench. Let’s get this party started…erm…keep this party rolling. He’ll have much to live up to, and no doubt he’ll be ready to do it.
But where has Senderos been? Anyone…anyone…?

How about WENGER? Now that would be a kick.
