Roadtrip closing

Wow. The response has been amazing. In fact, probably too amazing (I’m trying to sort it with Arsenal but we are WAY over what we projected). Those London ArsenalAmerica supporters might be called on for some ticket help as we might need a few extras (keep us in mind).

In the next few minutes, I’ll be sending out an e-mail to those who have contacted me. If you don’t get it and are planning on attending, you need to get ahold of me IMMEDIATELY. If you’ve been on the fence, well now is the time to decide go / no-go.

Looks like it’s going to be a great trip. As always, we’ll have plenty of photos on the site for those who can’t make it, and match reports from those who are there (maybe we’ll do some text messages from the pub).

Arsenal America – Official Supporters Club explained

Dear Fellow ArsenalAmericans,

As I stated in my recent email, the decision has been made by the Executive Council to apply to Arsenal FC for ?Official Supporters Club? status. There are several requirements which must be met in order to be considered for such status by the club. The majority of these can be handled be the executive committee, and are rather de rigueur.

However, there are some requirements which will of course need everyone?s involvement, most importantly:

1.) The supporters club must consist of at least 30 due-paying members who are residents of the supporters club?s designated area (in our case
the US and Canada.)

Finessing the Result: AFC vs. Man City

I got the chance to see the game against Man City twice this weekend. None were live broadcasts?grrrr?but that’s another post for another time.

At first I thought the lads looked as if they really couldn’t be “arsed” to be there, aside from Freddie (non-stop running, maybe to make up for a lack of ideas), PV (not yet there, but sweating like h*ll), Lehmann (smart, calmly courageous, intentionally comical after he was barged), and of course, Ashley Cole (arguably the finish of the year). Edu had some bright moments where he nicked a few passes and tried to send us off, but it seemed as though we were, well, casual. I actually saw Henry stroll away from a 50/50 ball.
