For those of us here in the States, Fox Sports World is the greatest cable station going right now. They show soccer, and lots of it. They also have a nightly show, the Fox Sports World Report, that is like SportsCenter, only if SportsCenter showed nothing but soccer highlights.

Arsenal America recently had the chance to catch up with Jeremy St. Louis, one of the lead anchors for the show…

ArseAm: Ok, let’s get this out in the open right now. Are the rumours about you and Michelle Lisselle dating true?

JSL: Hahaha - ummm no. Michelle is way too good for the...

Rick raised an interesting question: Why the other Premiership sides do not adapt the same tactic as our European opponents? I supposed Rick means - by defending deep, and denying Arsenal’s room for attack.

I believe the reason is: with the exception of a few teams [Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea], most of the EPL sides do not have that “keep ball” ability as our European opponents.

A thoroughly unconvincing effort, at home no less. Arsenal’s lone goal comes from PSV defender Alex on an own goal.

Questions:

Why can’t Arsenal create the same offensive thrust in European matches that they can in the EPL?

Or

Why don’t other EPL teams adopt the tactics of Arsenal’s European opponents to clamp them down?

In previous seasons, the Arsenal website would feature live match text of live games for free if you were a member of the website. This was separate from the Arsenal Plus, which of course costs money and features the audio commentary. Well, this season the free live text has disappeared, am I to assume that it is now part of the Arsenal Plus package?? I am a “starving student” and I cannot afford cable and extra expenses like live text and, as a result, I am having to go to other sites where the text updates are not as good.

Does anyone know what’s going on with this??

I always wanted to write a post of Arsenal all-time XI, it’s not easy as over the years we got so many heros and great players playing for our beloved club. It may be a bit long and boring to read, but at least I have fulfilled my wish - to share with you guys my all-time Arsenal XI!

Note: I know Alex James was one of our greats, but it was the time before my dad even born, so I restrict the players to whom I actually got to watch play.

1 (GK) - David Seaman

I love the solid, unfuzzy John Lukic, the determined Alex Manninger, and the promising Stuart Taylor. But...

Ed. Note - Ok, here is the information you’ve been waiting for. Arsenal America Trip To Highbury, V. III. One quick note, I’m trying to work something out with an air carrier that might help us out a bit, so try to hold off booking flights for another day or two if you can…

The fixture calendar is set, and it is time to check your vacation days and airfares because ArsenalAmerica is proud to announce the Third Annual Roadtrip to Highbury!

Dec. 4 Arsenal v. Birmingham City
Dec. 6 Arsenal v. Tottenham Hotspur (Reserves)
Dec. 7 Arsenal v. Rosenborg...

Crunch time, CL time. So two questions.

1. Tuesday’s game shouldn’t be too much of a problem - cross fingers, touch wood - but yesterday Thierry got slashed on the ankle, which made me momentarily nervous. Once we get to the knockout stage, should we rest key players the weekend before to be sure they’re fresh and injury-free? I’d like to rest both Thierry and Reyes, especially ahead of away games, and possibly other players as well, depending on what sort of cover is available. Clichy is always reliable, but Pennant? Is he good enough yet to stand in for Freddie...

Arsenal cruise to another victory, Reyes scores again and the team keeps a clean sheet. There were some people on the BigSoccer boards who saw this game as a tricky tie but I disagreed. I felt Arsenal would roll on to another emphatic victory.

Yes, at some point Arsenal will lose in the League, but right now I see no reason to predict anything other than a victory just about every week.

In other news, Chelsea draw nil-nil with Villa and Man U draw 2-2 with Bolton. That puts Man U nine points off the pace after just five games. It’s early so they can still make up ground,...

On Wednesday, many of you received an email announcing the creation of the ArseAm Executive Council. For those who may have missed it, here it is in full below. Also, anyone who did not get the email, please make sure that the correct email address is on file in your profile….

Dear Fellow ArsenalAmericans,

I write you today with news regarding the exciting changes that have taken place within our beloved supporters organization.

As you will most likely recall, there was much discussion earlier this summer as to whether or not ArsenalAmerica, as an independent supporters...

When I think of a cottage I think of the three pigs, not a football club. After watching the last Fulham match I’m convinced that this defense is made of sticks or straw. So, it would seem that Fulham are in fact aptly named as the Cottagers. Remember the fate of the first two cottages in the fairy tale. That wolf would be the Gunners and based on this seasons performances the wolf will blow their house down!
