Vieira 2003 v Van Nistlerooy 2004 The Only Response - Win the League
Oct 25

I know Henry has some bad games here and there but there is no reason why he should get any stick from Arsenal fans just for not scoring. I know that looking back at some of the games Arsenal have played over the last 5 years that Henry has been very quiet, but we cannot always point the finger at Henry when he doesn’t perform. I think Henry has got a lot of pressure on his shoulders to score fantastic goals all the time but he can’t, his only human. Like Arsene said, thierry is still young and he will improve. In my opinion Henry is a fantastic player and the only way he can perform is if the whole team perform with him. If you have noticed when watching football matches, the real matches happen in the midfield area and thierry is no midfield player now. He doesn’t get any service from the midfield then he cannot score.

Now against Man U, I felt that he did try his best, to be honest he played better than Van N.. and Wayne Rooney. Personnaly I think that we were the BEST team on that pitch and the game was lost when Rooney dived because Sol did not touch him at all, the most clear cut penalty was Ashley’s against Ronaldo, that was a penalty however we can’t say the game was evened out at the point because that might not have happenned anyway. Rio should have been sent off, gary neville should have picked up an extra yellow card for all the challenges on poor Reyes (bless him) and Roy Carroll should have been booked for time wasting at the end of the match. i am not saying the Arsenal were saints but they played a fairer game than Man U. Mike Riley should be investigated because he was clearly favouring Man U.

Complaining about Henry is plain ingratitude. He’s shown up time and time again, from the must win 5-1 drubbing of Inter to the 4-2 against L’Pool. Considering how many games he plays, week in week out, it’s amazing he performs so consistently. He scored close to 1/3rd of the goals of our unbeaten run. What more can you ask for?

Henry rules but the fact does remain, he goes missing in stellar games. Not always but he does it.

Against Pana we saw a lot fo the WALKING Henry. In the Riley-OT game we saw a ton of the show boating Henry where he eventually got stripped

Want someone to blame? Blame our captain. he ahs been nothing sicne he has returned. an absolute NOTHING

Henry is human. That’s why I think Wenger should rotate…

What the hell are you talking about?!
Vieira had a good match against United. He played VERY WELL in the first half… and decent in the 2nd half… He made a big defensive block… was in their fighting tooth and nail…. and helped our back four tremendously. Sounds like you have a grudge. I am sure you would have rather had the 17 yr.old kid in there…. get real.

    Rotate?
You simply do NOT rotate the best striker in the world. He plays every match possible. To do otherwise makes zero sense. You want to play him for 45 mins. against Crystal Palace or Norwich… thats fine… but he should play ALL the time.

…and suffer burn out. He’s human.

Wait, leave Henry alone because he’s had a couple of bad games, but hang Jens out to dry at the first sign of trouble?

I don’t get it. Sounds like a double standard to me.
