This just in about an hour back.. Ruud Van Nisteldive has accepted charges against him for serious foul play and he will serve a 3-match ban!
Had Ash been injured for over 3 weeks, would the punishment have been increased, I think not… I don’t think this is fair, the Arsenal players last season got a combined ban of what? 17 games or something like that for shoving round a player..
Surely that is not as career threatening as a studs up challenge on an opponents knee!!!!
Anyway.. it’s still an improvement.. At least the manc got some sort of penalty…
As a sidenote.. it’s Tuesday, and I’ve calmed down a bit.. Weathered the taunts from the mancs (how they can go on and on and on about what is in essence just another victory..)
Looking at the bigger picture, we’re still top.. clear from blue scum by 2 pts. Poised to go through in the chmps league. Fired up and ready to start another run..
Hey does anyone know the record winning streak in the english top division?? How I’d love to break that..
ps- good luck to the kids on Wednesday against the more respectable side in Manchester

The 3 match ban has arrogantly been assumed by the united camp as the default, or is it a cynical attempt to manipulate the panel, which is certainly a tried & tested United tactic in the past. The ban is at the discretion of the panel that meets on Thursday. Judging by some of the responses in the media (Jeff Winter, Jimmy Hill, Alan Hansen & many more) and the FA’s inclination to be influenced by the media I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it’s more than 3 matches. We can but hope.
Did you see that Ashley Cole was confirmed as the player that threw what turned out to be Pizza at horseface, missed & hit red nose instead!

The ‘admission’ is just a very cynical tactic to minimise the importance of the ban - apparently he has already served one match by missing the League Cup against Crewe last night and then he misses matches against Portsmouth and Man City! It is up to the panel to confirm or increase the ’sentence’ but his ‘apology’ will look good!
