Let’s get it out of the way….

F*CKING OUTRAGE!!

You all know what I’m talking about. No need to dissect the particulars. My blood is seething as we speak.

We knew it had to happen, just not to the mancs! But what if this is the catalyst that sparks us to ascend to the next level of greatness? This could perhaps be the bitter pill that spurs us on to new heights, allowing us to rise above mediocrity in europe. The end of complacency, the beginning of true hunger!!! We had demolished all in our path in the prem this year, but European glory is the final...

Ed. Note - Personally, I don’t think blaming the referee is the right thing to do, but as always we’re happy to let members voice their opinion…

Today’s game summed this up perfectly. Let’s just review what happened over the 90 minutes………

15 mins…..Rio the Junkie hauls down Freddie when he’s clean through on goal. The rules state that this a sending off offence when a player prevents an opponent from a goal scoring opportunity.

If the roles had been reversed and let’s say Campbell did the same thing to Van...

Well it?s happened. It was going to happen some day, it was just a question of when. As the saying goes, ?the higher you go the further you fall.? BUT NOT LIKE THIS. NOT AGAINST THE MANCS.

What kills me isn?t that we lost but the fashion in which it happened. I?m not going to relate my feelings about that $%&*^$? Rooney at this moment, cuz not will that only be unfit for family viewing, but it will take more time than is worth spending on him, the %$^*??.

Ed. Note - Personally, I don’t believe in blaming the referee. Others, apparently, do…

What did I tell you? Mike Riley = Penalty… awarded to Man U at Old Trafford. It was his EIGHT penalties towards United’s favour.

If there is anything United are better than us, it’s the way they CHEAT. Wonder why Pires being labelled as a “diver”? Because when he dived, he dived so dramatically, it’s not going to fool anyone. Just look at the way Rooney, Ronaldo, Van-Diver dive, state of art, pure CLASS. And look at the way Van-Diver raised...

*SIGH*

And really, what more need be said? We knew it could have ended up this way, and this fixture usually has the tendency to go either way.

So, our streak ends at 49. And yet, it doesn’t take away the fact it took the Premiership *18 months* to finally beat us. Well, congrats Man U. Took you long enough.

Let’s not use this thread to complain about the match, rather let’s use this space as our retrospect and, finally, resting ground for the 49 matches in which we showed English football how it was done.

Once again, in a game that really mattered, against an important opponent, Arsenal has come up short.

A PK from Rvn and a late add-on from Rooney sealed the match, 2-0.

I told all who would listen that Arsenal were going to roll over Man United. I was wrong. Man U played very tough, but not dirty. I didn’t see the match, listened over the Internet. Henry did little, Reyes did little, Edu did little, DB10 did little.

I wanted Cesc in the match, he never featured. Pires was brought on late. I’m very disappointed.

Arsenal are still in first and still control...

Two players who will be key for Arsenal:

Freddie Ljungberg and Lauren.

A lot of the defensive focus for United will be the Ashley/Pires/Henry left side. If FL8 can get a quick goal or even be a threat, that will keep United honest and prevent them from overloading.

Freddie has been excellent so far this season and he has a terrific track record of scoring in big games.

Ed. Note - See this is why the Internet and sports are so great. Here’s a stranger saying, ‘Come to my house early on a weekend morning and watch a game with me.’…

Hello all. I am new to this site but not new to the cause. I wanted to extend a welcoming hand to any Arsenal fans in the Portland Oregon area or any travelers that need a place to watch. Our household is purely dedicated to the Gunners and enjoy the company of any others that would also enjoy watching games, debating performances, haveing a beer before nine in the morning, etc. We watch every game...

How Man U would play -

Defence : They will kick everything in blue… They will pressure us… In short, they will try everything to break our attacking rhythm.

Attack : They will keep pumping the ball into our penalty box, from wide, or simply long cross. Their attacking players will be all over our penalty box, to wait for our defensive errors, and hope to cash in with a simple 6-yard-box tap in. Let’s face it, that’s how they have been playing all season so far. The ball movement, fluent passing United side has long GONE.

Danger Man -

Paul...

Ed. Note - Again, you know our policy here: If you’ve got an opinion and are willing to share it, we’re willing to post it. God knows I’ve said some rash things. Here’s my problem with Joanne’s ‘Lehmann must go!’ rant: The guy has not lost a single Premiership game in his entire career. That doesn’t count for something? Ok, let’s say you still think he’s gotta go. Well then, who exactly are you replacing him with? Please tell me the name of the available, affordable goalkeeper who makes no mistakes. I’d love to put some money...
