If you do some careful thinking Plan B is something very simple to implement for this great Arsenal team. Now picture this. The recent liverpool match was in my opinion a battle of ?grit vs flair? and grit won 2-1. Pool knew that man for man they don?t have the natural ability to cope with us and their list of injuries didn?t make anything better. So they went in for some grit. And what grit they showed! If you noticed in the 1st half, they stopped Pires effectively and not one of his passes reached an Arsenal player. Even one of this throws was intercepted neatly by a pool player.
Heya american gooners,

We received an email today from Steve Cohen of World Soccer Weekly / Fox Football Friday. He relayed an email he received from an Arsenal supporter in San Diego (not sure if he is an ArseAm member) that was fairly nasty. I’ve grown accustomed to some of the swear words, but racist/ethnic/religious hate words I just don’t accept.
Calling a Jew (or Spurs fan) a [rhymes with lid] isn’t funny, or ‘just playing around.’ Nor is making monkey noises at a black player, or making hissing noises (gas chamber) when playing Ajax or anything else like that.
2 losses in 54 games is an amazing record and it is one that makes me immensely proud to be a gooner.
But the two losses could hardly have been more contrasting.
On the one hand, we have an egoistic, overpriced team managed by old purple nose whose IQ wasn?t high enough to devise a fair tactic to beat us (not that there?s a shame in that), who had to resort to not only hacking us out of contention, but relying on a referee (who, since that day, has invoked feelings I am yet to put in words) to gift them victory. To cut a long story short, they cheated us 2-0.
On the other...

Liverpool 2-Arsenal 1
It just ended, meaning we haven’t won a game since October. This lineup needs a shakeup, not a massive one, but something. If it’s not working, you HAVE to make some changes. The up front pairing is not working, Henry is hurt and Reyes has disappeared. We should rest Henry until he’s 100% percent healthy. We have Pennant, Van Persie and young guys who can hold their own. They’ve shown it against Premier League teams in the Carling.
Am I insane in thinking that maybe we should play some of the reserves, judging only by the results in...

Greetings from Roadtrip command here in Hong Kong.
Just an update on the ArsenalAmerica Roadtrip to Highbury (v. 3.0). Once again, we have a case of “good news / bad news.” The good news is that the UEFA Champions League game we will see actually “matters” in that it is a must win for Arsenal (more or less). The bad news is that the UEFA Champions League game we will see actually “matters” in that it is a must win….
This is the second year in a row that we have picked what should have been a meaningless UEFA game only to find out that...

At the beginning of the season I looked to this fixture as the stongest opponent we would have faced thus far. Tougher than ManUtd, and only second to Chelsea. As the season evolves, we notice that Pool have not lived up to early season expectations and that they are appropriately placed in 8th. So what happened? Do they miss Houllier that much or is it the lose of Owen? I would raise that it’s neither and that Pool are just the victims of bad luck!
Perhaps it’s not that simple, but let’s look at it for a second. First you spend a record on Djibril Cisse, to team up...

During the PSV game, I was shaking my head in disbelief as Lauren & Patrick were sent off. I was utterly frustrated at that time. After the game, I sat down and with a cool head ran the game again in my brain and suddenly realized that I can?t remember when was the last time I had so much under-dog excitement watching the PSV game. In recent years when Arsenal play, it?s the opposition which is hanging on a thread and you curse and swear whenever their goal keeper blocks a goal bound shot or when their defender makes a goal line clearance. But in this game the roles were reversed and though...

PSV v. Arsenal
I must admit that I haven’t followed PSV closely this season. But I’ve just read this article and I’m a bit concerned.
In 13 games in Holland PSV are 11-2-0 and have given up just five goals. They’ve had a remarkable 10 straight clean sheets - the last goal they gave up was in August.
In the Champs League they lead our group, having only given up two goals (including the own goal against us).
They’ve got talent, a good coach,...
