2-1 to the Arsenal (thanks to a “not paying attention” goal in the 90th minute) after a bad back pass from Simek, Wright in Goal kicked it upfield only to see it bounce off some Sp*rs git and back into the net. 10 of us from AA standing on the opposite side from the Main Stand watching a match on a pitch that’s on a grade (probably 20 feet higher on one end than the other) fortunately we won the toss so got run downhill in the second half. Jill Smith was her usual magic lady and arranged to have us hang around long enough (and believe me they wanted to boot us out) to meet Frank and Danny and Arturo Lupoli and have a few picures taken. Great time had by all. As you can see I’m not the writer many of my ArseAmers are so click the link for more.

That’s TWO wins in a row for the Gooners abroad. Y’all must be good luck!
Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. In fact, if we win today LIKE I KNOW WE WILL, I say we petition to keep you lot there until some time early May.
COME ON, LADS! AND LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE RED KITS!!!

Why’s no one interested in tonight? Or are you all too depressed to discuss it? Can’t say I feel any better myself - not seeing as we’re playing the worst team in the worst group in the comp, yet not many of us are sure that we’ll win. If it weren’t the millions we’ll lose by failing to make the next round, I’d say we might as well forget it for this year and retire gracefully until we’ve rallied our forces and - more important - got our heads round why we always fail to perform. Remember August when some of us were thinking we could go all the way? The problem isn’t just injuries and suspensions (though of course they don’t help) it’s something massively more fundamental.
I think we should buy Baby Wright-Phillips while he’s still cheap. He came on as sub yesterday and scored a very nice goal - a goal poacher’s goal, a goal like his dad used to score. Wouldn’t it be nice to have Wrighty mark 2?

I’m looking forward to tonight. Its a game we should win, even with the lack of midfield bravado. Its the first match this season that we’ve HAD to (well, almost, but I’m sure they don’t want to rely on the outcome of the other game).
And I think what you say about it being something fundamental with our current form is true. Its a combination of all the obvious injury things, our style vs. defensive tactics, plus the clearly unfair loss to United. Once the streak ended, the lads had to find their identities again. Job one was over. Now its time to gear up for job two, and they couldn’t find the nerve to tackle it quickly with everything else happening to them.
But tonight, they’ll feel the hunger again. I just know it. I know it if I know this team at all.

Glad to hear the trip is going well. Wish I could be there again after having a great time on last year’s trip, but here I am, sitting at my computer at work. Let’s wind up the trip on a winning note tonight!

GOOOAAALLL! REYES! ARSEAM in the HOUSE!!!

GOAL!!! Stagg jumps out of the stands, upends Stolli with a low bridge, and Henry runs onto it. No one the wiser, ARSENAL 2 up for the first time in the CL this season!

THREE!!! Cesc!!! Apparently the ArseAm banner floated down and shielded the ball, allowing him an untouched run right into the net where he’s still hung up!

Second youngest scorer in CL history!

Great to watch. Reyes was a star - lovely goal and some very neat passing. Also I thought Hoyte did very well.
But Almunia? Bring back Jens. Better, bring back Stuart (unless he’s deteriorated from couple of seasons ago).
But we shouldn’t kid ourselves, sadly. Rosenborg were utterly dire - predictably since their season finished weeks ago and they’d spent the last few days Christmas shopping in Oxford Street. Besides they never win away. They were the ideal side for us to play against as they were weak in midfield and squandered possession constantly; also you could drive a bus through the defence. In short, a good evening but not a sign we’re truly a force to be reckoned with in this competition. Who next? Barca no doubt.

Van Persie was very strong, very lively; a bit reckless but I think he should definitely start in the future.
Who do people want us to draw? I’d quite like Bremen (not too hard and nice city, cheap trip for away fans), but Porto would probably be easiest. How satisfying that Chelsea lost.

Brilliant victory.
We won the group…
we had the swagger…
This is the team I want to see Sunday.
POSITIVE Miranda… can’t possibly be negative about a nite like tonite.
I’d love to knock Barca out of the CL… then the world can look on in awe!

Gut feel - I think Arsenal gets Real Madrid.
