Thierry Henry is the main man in a campaign to stamp out RACISM in Football. Its a new campaign supported by the players, with Henry being one of major pitch men. (backed by NIKE)
Its time to stand up, speak up.

Arsenal throw away another lead after being 2-0 up. Both headed goals.

Stand up, speak up, get involved … fine by me, but, er, how, exactly does Thierry want us to do it?

I know! I went to the screen and saw a cool picture of half his face and that was it. Maybe we’re doing it by conducting and exchagne about it?

I don’t want to sound too cynical here but this appears to be another one of Nike’s PR campaigns with the ultimate goal of generating more cash. While the intentions are noble at its roots does nike really need to sell bracelets with their logo stamped on them to raise awareness of racism?

I do NOT believe the bracelets are stamped with NIKE on them. If all the proceeds go to the cause, then its a win-win situation for all those involved.

I don’t think the campaign starts until Feb.5th …
I was ALSO looking for something to click on… but there was nothing YET.

I just looked at the page again and they do have the Nike logo (did we really expect something different here really?). Having said that, I do agree that this in general a good thing although it’s reather hypocritical to claim you’re on the forefront of the fight against racism and yet have pretty shady labor practices (and the fact that others do the same is not really an excuse here).
