I’m planning on visiting some friends in Europe in February, and I’m planning on taking a trip to THOF before Emirates Stadium opens up. Does anyone know of a very cheap/reasonable hostel/place to stay in and around Highbury? I’m a University student, so the more money I could save, the better. The plan would be to stay 2-3 nights and hopefully be there on a game day. Any help would be appreciated.

There are plenty of places not too far away - I would suggest searching on http://www.hostelworld.com and looking probably at the area of London called Russell Square. Alternatively, send me some details and you can come and crash at mine, I live in Islington, am a debenture holder and North Banker and happily put up waifs and strays - particularly of the Arsenal supporting variety!!

Try joining the International Youth Hostels Association by joining their group in your home country. Then you can stay at their excellent hostel near St Pancras Station (or any of the others) which you can check out on

There are Youth Hostels throughout the world so your embership can be used everywhere (the hostels in Portugal were great last summer during Euro 2004)

Can’t help with a place i London.
But if you plan to visit Denmark durring your visit to Europe I might be able to help.
I live i Sk?lsk?r on Sj?lland, just 1 hour from Copenhagen, and any Arsenal fan are welcome to visit. I have Canal+ at home, so I watch all Arsenal games “live” on TV. Please contact me at mg@harboes.dk if you or any Arsenal fan come to visit Denmark.
