No
- Do you think Reyes will start up front with DB10? NReyes WILL START, not necessarily with DB10
- Do you think Ali will/should get more than a 3 minute cameo from the bench?
He will and definately should. Unfortunately he is down in the pecking order of strikers under henry, db10, reyes & van persie.

Sol wont start
Hopefully Reyes on Left with Van Perse and Ali up front. (as if)
Ali should get a run as should Van persie (see above)
DB10 is god, but he not playin to well right now. . Ali and V.P should get a chance while TH14 is out.

ALI, i think part of the reason Aliadiere hasn’t been playing much is because he’s just back from a long term injury. I like this kid a lot. He always got talent, but previously I thought he lack of a bit of physical strength. But from the last game when I saw him, he seemed to grow much bigger. The only down side of this kid is he’s rather injury phrone, having suffered a few long term injuries in recent years. Hopefully his luck will change from now on, then we will get ourselves another quality striker in our squad.

Whatever the lineup, you can bet Quincy won’t be there. Apparently he got arrested. See the link:

Sigh.

With Henry missing, you can really see how light the squad is when a couple of players are out of form. With Ljungberg out too, we have nobody who can play right midfield who is an attacking threat.
This leaves a big headache. Pires has been in good form lately, but doesn’t produce playing right midfield. Therefore, Reyes left and Pires right doesn’t seem a good idea. Bergkamp has played too many games to be considered again, so it has to be Van Persie up front with Reyes.
I would play Cole, Campbell, Sendeos, Toure along the back. Pires, Vieira, Gilberto & Lauren (or Fabregas for Lauren, but Cesc is not nearly as good playing out of position). With Reyes & Van Persie up front.
I would like to try Van Persie & Aliadiere up front and drop Reyes altogether, but this is the North London derby, and such a ferocious game could easily pass by the likes of Aliadiere. Also, Tottenham are defensively unstable, Reyes pace will hurt them more than it would at Chelsea - so lets hope he can forget about leaving and do what he is paid to do.

One leaves, another arrives. Hopefully the 3 mill we just got for Pennant can be put towards his future bail money.

We might as well forget that Quincy exists from now on, because Wenger certainly will.
April 25th, 2005 at 9:35 am
True. In fact, miranda, in the midst of all the shouting about a keeper, striker and a defender, has pointed out our complete lack of backup for Freddie and general weakness on the right. With Pennant gone, the only player that could cover is currently a Canary.
Interesting that you would play Sol. Kind of distracting, I think, in this tie, but moving Lauren makes sense and I agree, Cesc will only drift to the middle.
I think RvP will tear their a’s a new one today if we play him. He seems the kind of player that might thrive in the contentious atmosphere if it doesn’t make him go too nutty.

Before we decide on the length of QUINCY’S JAIL TERM, let’s wait for ALL THE EVIDENCES.
The kids, and the club have yet to comment.
Only sh*t “journlists” can comment at this early stage of the case.
At the moment all my sympathy and support go to QUINCY.
It’s not funny to go the the police for just kicking a social reject after a nice dinner.
If this is justice, Garry Neville should have been sentenced to death after he did on Jose Antonio Reyes.

Yeah, don’t ask me why but this seems the perfect game for Van Persie to make an impact.
The only reason I’d play Sol, is because if I want to fit Lauren into midfield then Kolo would have to play right side , which leaves his place vacant. I don’t want to see Cygan play for Arsenal again, and Sol must be fit to play now.

Seeing as Quincy was arrested, it seems likely he was guilty of ’something’. In London, the police usually disperse drunken people and let them go, arresting them is a last resort.
Arsenal are not a pub team, and Wenger will not look upon this favourably even if Quincy has done no more than associate with people that were fighting at 3am in the morning outside a nightclub.
If you think Wenger should forget about it then you do not understand how highly Wenger considers the importance of player psychology as a route to success.
April 25th, 2005 at 1:23 pm
Yes, agree about van P: he’ll get stuck in so long as he doesn’t lose it completely. I think - hope - that he learnt something at the Southampton game, in which case it would be good psychology to play him and then praise him to the skies for keeping his cool.

He was arrested because someone was injured and taken to hospital, but I don’t think it’s necessarily the end of his career with us. Surely it depends on the context? Was he provoked, had he been drinking? If he was drunk, that probably would be career-threatening, given Wenger’s views about alcohol, but being involved in a street fight isn’t comparable to the crimes for which we’ve (rightly, in my view) thrown out players (rape and second-offence drunken driving). The report in the evening paper suggested that Ajax sold him because he often in trouble. True? He’s only 19, so I hope he gets another chance and comes good. Sigh. It reminds us that are many plusses to Reyes: in bed at half past nine with a cup of chocolate. Henry too, come to that.

We should wait anyway.

The article I read had in the title that Quincy was arrested but nowhere IN the article did it say Quincy was arrested only that he had been taken into police custody which could mean almost anything.
Yes, it’s a stretch that he wasn’t arrested but sighting the fact that the article stopped short of saying he was arrested. Let’s also not forget that you can be arrested & then not charged/booked.
Let’s just hope that it was a case of Quincy being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
