Doesn’t really mesh with the post, but I thought you’d like this.
Wenger’s quote on the Arsenal official web site:
?Sol is available,? said Wenger. ?He is working very hard in training to get fit. It is just a matter of throwing him in and to do that you must throw one out. The defence is doing well now and he will have to wait for an opportunity. It is a fair competition going on.?
I could swear I heard someone talking about Sol possibly having to wait… I wonder who that was…
Well maybe you can help me remember *R*I*C*K*

Well done to all. Can’t wait for that “Sell Henry to Chelsea for Huth, Bridge, Kezman and Cudicini” post.

Two solid defenders, a good goal-scorer who just didn’t get a fair chance to get settled and a very solid goalkeeper? Hmmm, I’d have to give that very solid consideration.

In my mind Sol should start if Wenger thinks he’s a better choice than Senderos and/or Toure. I may be wrong, but my guess is that Senderos and Toure fit the Wenger mold better than Sol does.

It’s just a matter a conext.
1) we’re keeping clean sheet and playing well. Frainess’ rules play in favour of Kolo, Senderos and Lauren.
2) We were playing high tempo games against the blues and the spurs.
It’s then too riscky to start someone who’s been out for so long,
Sol has to wait a bad performace from the defense.
One goal might be enough to get him back if he’s doing well in training, even if we win the game.
I think the manager’s showing the young lads that if they are good enough, they will play, no matter who’s the first option.
Anyway, I have faith in Sol and he’ll be back this season or next year.

Could be an excellent deal for Arsenal.
Exactly what we need to strengthen the team and win a few trophies in Europe.
