Taylor leaves for Villa

Reaction to the move from two different Arsenal Americans:

Galaxy Gooner says:

“Since the chances of me getting Arsene Wenger to explain this to me in my face are about as remote as Tottnumb qualifying for the Champions League……can someone please explain the logic of letting Stuart Taylor leave for Aston Villa and keeping Manuel Almunia as back up to Jens Lehmann?

I thought after the dire performance he put in between the sticks at home to Manure last season that Almunia was on his way out of THOF.

Surely, this upcoming season that starts in under 50 days would have been a great opportunity for AW to provide Taylor a chance to prove himself at Highbury.”

SeattleTomBackInLondon says:

“Taylor leaves the club for Villa, which I think is a good move for the lad and I hope he does well. It shows how highly regarded he is by signing for Villa. Maybe OLeary listens to Bob Wilson more than Arsene these days. If Taylor has gone and Stack is in trouble with the rape case, surely Arsene has a keeper up his sleeves. He always says how its important to have 3 keepers available.”

I STILL Love The Clash, Part Two

SHOULD HE STAY OR SHOULD HE GO…
The Mid-field

Note: This obviously pre-dates the Hleb signing(by the way I say…STAY)

LJUNGBERG: Freddie when healthy had a VERY good season, and was our best player from October to December. Freddie is clearly committed to the cause and yet, that health history leaves me a little uneasy, and surely factors into our pursuit of right-sided players. I think Freddie is the one regular I would readily offer in a player-swap for someone like Trezeguet with some cash. But I have no problem with Freddie in our team provided we have better cover in this year?s team…STAY, but I wouldn?t be AS devastated if he left as some others

GILBERTO: If Gilberto had been healthy all year we win likely win the League. We lost two midfielders in effect as even when healthy Vieira was less effective without Gilberto protecting the defence as he would go forward as always. If the Brazilian stays healthy Arsenal are considerably stronger in both attack and defence and play a more consistent balanced game – maybe no 7-0 score-lines but lots of 4-0 and 4-1 score-lines, and more importantly perhaps more 1-0 score-lines. Almost as valuable as Vieira in his own quite way…STAY

Robinho?

As they say on sports-talk radio, first-time, long-time here. Anyway, I just read on Soccernet that we’ve made a 14 million pound bid for Brazillian striker, Robinho. Just wondering if anyone’s seen him in action and how good this kid is.
