Ed. Note - Sorry, a couple of days old, but still interesting…
There I was this morning (Tuesday) getting ready for work. I turn the telly onto the local morning show on KTTV FOX channel 11 at 7am to watch GOOD DAY L.A where they have breaking news on a fire at Legends Sports Bar at Belmont Shores when all of a sudden anchors Steve Edwards and Jillian Barberie are talking about Arsenal and Manchester United!!!!! I literally had to pinch myself to believe what I was hearing. Although Ms Barberie said she hadn’t heard of Arsenal before, but knows of United….Mr Edwards seemed to be quite knowledgeable about the Gunners. Think I will send Jillian a link to this website as well as arsenal.com and other Gooner sites so that she gets converted.

soccernet.com front page has story on Arsenal bidding 14 million pounds for Robinho. Real Madrid bid 10 mill.
Still think this is a horrible move. All style and no substance.

On a related note, did you see Quincy play the other day against Nigeria? A more even match I have never seen. Both scored in the opening minute of a half, and the penalty shootout went one past the keepers! But Quincy was, again, streaking past defenders…but only to lose the ball time and time and time again trying to be fancy as Nigerians closed in. He did create a nifty chance in the first half that almost saw Holland equalize before the break, but all in all, he needs to either lay off the ball more, or get a LOT better at jinking it past.
As for Fox and Jillian…it is surely a sign of the times, but the thought of The Arsenal being discussed around that particular couch made me wince a bit. I admit to not really watching the show, but when I have caught a few seconds the banter comes off a mote under inane. “Come on The London Arsenals!” can’t be far off, can it? ;^)

Signing a 21 Yr.Old Brazilian star of the future is a horrible move?
I can’t begin to argue that one.

Plus like Myles Palmer is fond of saying (which I think is a funny, interesting thing to notice), “Winning in the CL is about ‘My Brazilian(s) are better than your Brazilian(s).”
