Arsenal defender Pascal Cygan is concerned that Patrick Vieira’s Highbury exit will be followed by that of Thierry Henry.
“I can foresee the possibility of Thierry leaving as a result of Patrick’s departure,” he told The Sun.
“I have heard people say that boss Arsene Wenger wants to sign two international class players.
“But if it means losing Pat for him, what the hell is the point?
“Patrick will leave behind a huge gap and I don’t see who will be able to replace him. The training ground will be a sad place without him.”
Is this really helpful?? What good have you ever done for this club Cygan? You’re a walking disaster.
You’re barely a reserve player now, but you just hang around to pick up your wages every week. Most players in your shoes would be begging to leave; so do something useful and be like them.

I’ll play contrarian today.
I think Cygan is just expressing what many of us fear. Henry said something to that effect in the past… and I’d say a player who has been at the Arsenal for a few years has a LOT more insight into what the truth is in the dressing room than the fans or media do, thats for sure.
Should the laundry be aired in public/media? No. No freaking way. I agree that he should say F-ALL. Especially because he is not even a regular.
As I say to most of these players, SHUT UP and PLAY. (or in Cygan’s case, shut up and warm the bench.)

Seriously dont get some of these footballers do they have absolutely no brains…i mean how does making a statement like this in public do anything for u or for the team. it sure as hell isnt doin any good to cygan!

I’m relieved that Stag did well to dig out some reasonable explanation for Cygan’s comments so that I could get straight to the business of recommending that the French man with sqauare wheels be shot in both knees and sent off to the 18th division of League Antarctic via the baggage compartment of a poorly maintained livestock transport plane.
Or sell him, kick in a few extra bucks and use the money to buy the entire team ice cream.

cygan dunno what benefit he gets out of this
but i dont think any one is really worried
bcoz it s henry
henry s probably the only player who himself denies most transfer rumours about him
probably a good reason why he is the new captain

What has Cygan done for the Gunners? Seriously, who gave him the license to speak about this issue? If it was Freddie Ljungberg or Robert Pires speaking out, then I would give the comments some credibility. But Pissy Pascal??? Please!

I’m no big fan of Cygan either, however seeing that the newspaper ( if you can call it that ) that reported the alleged quote is the Sun (www.thesun.co.uk) , well how credible are they?? Certainly the thought of losing Titi is unthinkable to all fans and is probably our biggest fear. Titi has been with Arsene since he was 16 at Monaco and you got to think that at some point Arsene will have to make the big decision with him also. Hopefully that is many years from now !
As for our club, yes Viera leaving will change the team, he has done so much for the team and I wish him the best. I will miss his skills but not his yelling at refs… I have complete trust in Wenger and am sure that they have a plan to deal with this loss. Seems like the Beast will join us and add a dimension to the offence that has been lacking, someone to crash the box and get that header in.
No panic guys, Arsenal will surprise us this year!!

i hope ur right..
i am still believing that arsene knows….lets hope it proves to be true again

That is what is alleged he said, but it is probably not first hand information. If he really did talk to the papers and said this than it would be cause for disciplinary action.

Look at the source!
It’s the only press he gets.
The guys a class a moron for even opeing his mouth on this, he should learn to think and then learn to think before he speaks.
“Blah, Blah, f’n blah.” P. Cygan

What’s even more assinine than Cygan’s comments is the fact that we even bother discussing them.

Dude, it is the Sun you know, that unbiased, fair, well respected newspaper - so it must be true!
Although,
Agree with everything you said.
Perhaps we can get rid of him in a deal involving Ledley King
