So, as most of you read, our main striker, captain and icon for the club is out for up to 4 weeks!! So what will be done in his abscence?

This is the time for RVP to get a start so he can show his stuff. Reyes needs to form a partnership with him. We need to get some fury in our play. Fabregas did that when he came on but it was a little too late.

It’s time for Sol to go back in. He is angry and hungry for games. This will hopefully drive the team to play stronger.

As a coach for field hockey, I once kept out my best player for 10 mins during a Final game. He paced...

It seems that for the first time in about three years we are not one of the favorites to win the Champions league. In fact we are not even in the top 10 to win this time….

I believe that is maybe just what the team needs to progress and cause a few surprises. Not for one minute am I saying that we will win the Champions League but hey why not stop all the negativity and actually do what we FANS (so called) are supposed to do and that is to SUPPORT (so called) our team!!!

So what went wrong? I hope the team proves me wrong by the end of the season and win something but a long season to go and can?t see anything positive coming out of the team this season. I might and hope to be wrong and maybe Wenger and the boys makes a fool out of me by winning the PL but to be honest I can?t see that as a possibility.

Can someone explain to me what he or she meant by transitional season? I keep reading we are in a transitional season. So how come a team that finishes 2nd last season and on top the season before can be in a transitional season. It is another excuse to...

My favorite part of the FA Cup is the ability to see and learn about clubs that I’ve never even heard of. Typically in the CL, this does not occur. So, the FA Cup experience meets the CL as we visit FC Thun.

Thun (pronounced TOON) is small city on the Aare River in the Burmese Oberland of Switzerland. Situated at the north end of Lake Thun (also pronounced TOON), FC Thun was created in 1898 and played amatuer football until the mid-1900’s. Newly promoted to the top of Swiss football in 2002, they were second behind FC Basel. They qualified for the CL by beating the likes...

Everyone has pointed out the negatives from Boro and the rest of the season so far (Pires, Bergkamp, no character/gut, Cygan, no depth, Flamini, etc.), but let?s think about a few positives, and more importantly, what can be done in the short term.

Positives:
- Reyes is looking hungry and good, even though he?s not converting his opportunities to many goals yet; I think it?s just a matter of time before the goals start rolling in
- Hleb is the real deal
- The fluency from recent years was back in the first 20-25 minutes against Boro
- Lehman has been very solid;...

Arsenal have a 2 and 2 record this season so far. But the season is only 4 games old! We are already shooting down a teams chances and criticising a manager who has (let me remind everyone) never been outside of the top 2 since he took over proper! Why fans have been spoilt rotten by the success brought on with a budget that Charlton, Bolton, Aston Villa would be proud of! Guys, what do you expect that if we went a season unbeaten (unbelievable feat - will not be done for a long time) that we should go the next five seasons unbeaten!!!

[Ed note: Lots of reaction to this weekend's loss. We'll offer two such articles, one pessimistic, one optimistic. First out of the box, pessimistic...]

I truly can’t believe my eyes watching this team of late. I have gone from being ultra positive and thinking we will win every match, to thinking its possible we could lose in ANY match… in about a 1 year period.

What has changed so much from the team that went undefeated in the league, and I believe was the BEST in the world that season… even if Porto won the CL.

Let’s take a quick look at who...

Note - Due to a total lack of evidence suggesting Tottenham Hotspur ever actually had any half decent players, let alone superstars, this article had to be withdrawn as it would have left the author open to lawsuits for being in breach of the ‘Trades Discription Act’.

There has been a lot of debate if Gilberto, Fabregas and Flamini are good enough to replace Vieira. For a moment, let’s skip that question and ask another one. Are three central midifielders enough for one season of league, CL and FA Cup, i.e., roughly 50 games? Last season, we saw how much we were affected by the absence of Gilberto and Edu. I dare not contemplate how we will cope with something similar this time round. So what are our options? Alex Song is too young and I don’t think we’ll see him in first team action this season, except for the League Cup. My best bet would...

I have read a report lately - Dennis Bergkamp revealed his regret that he may not be able to play in Arsenal’s new stadium next season as he’s been pondering to retire by the end of the season.

I’m sure it’s regret shared by many Arsenal fans as well. Since the departure of Vieira, Berkgamp was our lone longest servicing player in the club right now. 10 years. With today’s football climate, EU, Bosman, and greedy football agents, it’s rarely for an English player to stay with a same club for a decade, let alone an oversea player, particular a high-profile...
