Am I exaggerating to say this has been the best ArseAm road trip so far???
Greetings everyone! I’ve just a moment to post before I board my plane to Dooblin, but I wanted to let you all know that the road trip, matches, and pub fellowship with other Arsenal America folks has made this my best vacation for ages! More importantly, we got the results Wednesday and Saturday - I personally think it’s been the kick-start Arsenal have been needing so far this season.
I’ll have tons more to post later today and this week, but again I want to thank all North American Gooners and everyone I’ve met for making this the best road trip ever!

Glad you enjoyed doogie. Thank you for participating in our yearly pilgrimage… and keeping our perfect record at Highbury!
I hope to go with a smaller crew of ArseAms later in the Spring… I enjoyed last years trip as well, and it seems its growing.
cheers

Glad you enjoyed your time. Hope you can time your next R&R to meet up with us on the next Roadtrip to Highbury we arrange (which is in the works already).

In answer to your question, and in light of today’s events, I think “no”. Too bad you’re not still there. You could take the train into West London and watch the weeping.

Have a safe flight back to Iraq Officer G and nice knowing you too. Stay safe in that part of the world knowing you lot are doing a good job out there..Also to all those AA members who came down have a safe flight back home.
Stag, I’ve to say you are the most popular bloke on this site with your facts, straight forward and no excuses posts. The folks are waiting to see who Stag is.

Great to meet you and all the other AA guys on Saturday, it just keeps getting better. Safe journey back to North Carolina when you’ve finished your posting in a couple of months. Total respect.

Yessss!
Let’s hope we’re not the ones who screw up the streak. :^) Need dates, fellas.
And I will wear the #4 proudly, as it was my number in my championship little league team which my coach retired after I left for senior league! I still have the shirt. Hahaha.

I am talking to Arsenal about possible roadtrip dates. Our main problem is that there is no week (yet) that has two home matches guaranteed. There are several weeks with mid-week FA Cup or Carling cup matches, but we don’t know our status for those just yet (or whether they will be home or away). We are also looking at trying to do an away match as well, but those tickets are so very hard to obtain…
But we’re working on it.

Apparently ArseAm is tentatively planning a 2nd trip…

if its only ONE Arsenal match, I want to make sure there is another match involved! Like QPR or Charlton…
I will look at the schedule…. and my schedule…
and give my opinions…

Well if you let me know in advance when you coming with Scotty da man maybe I will try and see if I can get some QPR, Palace, Fulham home tickets if the Arsenal is playing away.
Some of these Div one games are very good and value for money.

LoveG…
I was figuring we could find an Arsenal match on a Saturday with another match on Sunday?
or
Arsenal on a Sunday, with another match on a Saturday.
I’ve been to QPR and love it… I saw Liverpool at Wimbledon, I’ve been to Charlton… but I have never been inside Craven Cottage…. outside only. All of these are good takes in my opinion…

I’m in. Still waiting to see when everyone wants to go so I can book my flights and start digging for tickets.
And remember, depending on how we fare, MikeK said we could be in for an FA Cup game, CL game, etc. But I would love to see a Div. 1 match. Stag’s mentioned QPR and I’d like to see their grounds.
Funny thing about my minnow team, Reading FC. They drew Arsenal for the FA Cup next round. No doubt I want them pasted, but it is interesting and they’re looking a good bet to come up.

It is very difficult to try and work 2 matches into a trip…
I personally am thinking like 4 days… and even better if a holiday falls in there somewhere, so I don’t miss too much work time…
The problem is, the schedules have most matches on Saturdays… that always changes, and you don’t know which matches are going to be changed to a Sunday or Monday.
Last year, I planned a stop over in London for a DAY in my travels to Zimbabwe… both going and coming back… I had a full day in London ON Arsenal match days…
BOTH got changed to different days, and obviously I saw neither game…
Its a real catch 22… as you want to plan in advance & get a good airfare… but if the game day changes… you’re screwed!
