Our best three players against Everton were Gilbert, Fabregas, and Reyes.
Gilberto was a huge liability in open play. In set pieces he has some value, but in open play he can be horrible.
Fabregas was starting to assert himself as an attacking force and several times got himself into a good shooting position. Plus, he is the first player all the players look to when they get the ball. I think Fabregas is almost as important to Arsenal as Rooney is to Man U.
Senderos and Sol are not a good center pairing. Their communication is bad and Sol is just not that good any more,...

that he makes Gus Caesar (who cost us winning the 1988 League Final against Luton) look world class!!!!! Any long time Gooner fan will know what I’m talking about here!

Ed. Note - Senderos is taking major heat from ArseAmers. Today we’ll post two items on him, here is the first…
Two decades ago, I remember when first seeing Tony Adams played, he’s already a PRESENCE. Aggressive and determined. Yet he’s far from a flawless defender like he was during the later days of his career. Two major weaknesses of the young Tony’s game were - his passing, and his balance. Often passed the ball straight to oppositions. And young Adams was a little clumsy too, at times, when under pressure, he would lose his balance and allowing...

Wow, that was a shockingly poor performance. Beattie makes Senderos and Sol look bad for the goal, Arsenal bang one off the keeper and the post and then he stops a good shot from Cesc. Beattie should have had a second from one of the worst back passes I have ever witnessed. 1-0 at half and that’s the way it stayed.
Zero offensively after the 20th minute or so. It wasn’t even that players were horrible, it was just that no one was good. Everton hustled all over the pitch, Arsenal did not.
Wenger has to start looking in the mirror and answer two questions:

How much longer do we have to endure these dire away performances this season????
I’ve just watched the Everton game and quite frankly if I hadn’t known better I would’ve thought it was Everton who was challenging for Champions League place and us fighting relegation!!!!
When it comes to players like Reyes, Ljungberg, Pires, and Gilberto who struggle to play a 10 yard pass to someone whose wearing the same shirt as themselves then I have to question the desire and ambition of the team in general!!!!
And as for Senderos, Lauren, Campbell and Fabregas….the...

You’ve gotta make us favorite now to win it all. Sure, we made some other important signings, but Theo is the key to it all. And yes, we don’t know his exact role, but his mere presence changes the whole complexion of the organization. What’s that? Walcott?
No, I’m talking about Theo Epstein returning to the Red Sox!

To the best of my recollection, and discussed already, the last time Arsenal put 7 past an opponent it was Everton. So it would seem fitting, after the demolition of Boro, that the Gunners would face Everton and tempt the fans with another 7 goals. To me this is dangerous, as Everton are not an opponent to take for granted. Not for what they have on the pitch but who sits on their sideline.
Davis Moyes is under alot of pressure, as Everton have fallen far from their 4th place perch. I would have voted him manager of the year, last campaign, and I don’t believe that he is the reason...

It’s official. Arsenal have confirmed the signing of 16 year old wunderkind Theo Walcott from Southampton.
According to Arsenal.com, the initial fee paid by Arsenal was GBP 5 million, with another potential GBP7 million sent later based on appearances.
Despite talk to the contrary, Walcott will not be...

Don’t get me wrong, I am glad to see Arsenal active in the transfer market. This month the club have shown ambition so fair play to them. But there are a couple things that concern me here:
1. A ‘record’ signing. Previous ‘record’ signings in recent years include Francis Jeffers, Sylvain Wiltord and JA Reyes.
2. He’s quite young. Terrific at 15 or 16 does not always mean terrific at 23. I’m also not comfortable with the mix of young English kid, in London, with gobs of cash in his pocket.
3. Arsenal need help now. It’s great...

I had this sent to me and believe it deserves a wider audience. Many of you will not have seen Rocky play or perhaps even know who he is. Tragically taken from us at the age of 31 he’ll always be missed.
When you view the video pay special attention to the gooners behind the goals. These goals were scored in the days before all-seater stadiums.
My favourite is the one against ManUre at Old Trafford.
Enjoy
