Meet the Americans this week at Highbury

March 28, 2006

The ArsenalAmerica Spring Roadtrip is underway at Highbury. Tonight about 16 Americans will be in the crowd for the Champions League Match, and this weekend we’ll have over 2 dozens in various places for the Aston Villa game.

This is a rather unique roadtrip as it is filled (with the exception of the 2 tour leaders) entirely with Highbury ‘newbies’ attending an Arsenal game for the first time. I hope we get some good posts in the next weeks on their first impressions.

To meet up with the Americans while you are over there, you can find them in the following pubs and seat locations:

Juventus — pre and post game: ‘The Tavern’ pub. Back by the big screen in the back room. At the game: North Bank Lower (somewhere) and a few in the West stand lower.

Aston Villa — pre and post game: The T-Bird pub on Blackstock road–in the basement. At the game: North Bank Lower (we’ll get a row soon) and a few in the Clock end.

Friday — Tour of Highbury at 2:30 PM.

Anyway–feel free to drop by and say hi. Ask for Dave Connick, Rick Breese, Kelvin Meadows or Jeff Lancaster and they’ll point you to the Americans (if you can’t pick them out yourself).
