I’m compiling a list of pubs where members, branch offices, et. al. will be watching the UEFA Champions League final on May 17th. We’re already getting some emails from people over from the UK for the game (i.e. visiting in the US for whatever reason) and wanting to meet up with ArsenalAmerica members to watch the match from Paris.

Feel free to reply, PM or email andrew@arsenalamerica.com with your details and we’ll post a block on the side with pubs and contacts should you want or need to find some folks for this epic event.

UPDATE. We have had requests...

Update 5/2 - Turns out FSC will be showing the match…at 4 PM ET. I’m still planning on being there, and hope that most of you do too!

To commemorate the final game at Highbury, Arsenal America are pleased to announce that we’ll be holding a gathering at Nevada Smiths in New York to take in what will surely be an emotional day at the Home of Football.

However, this is all tentative on the match being televised here in the States. The general consensous at the moment...

EDIT 13:25 ET April 26:

Rick B has asked that I add the following:

Not blaming Mike for this as I promised him I would e-mail him what to put - and I forgot and didn’t!!

I want you all to be very clear on the situation. IF Arsenal America get any tickets, it will be last minute. i.e. probably as late as 3 or 4 days before the game. There is absolutly NO CHANCE of knowing before the 7 days period before the game. At present I have just got home from Spain, Ive had 4 phone calls from the U.S. and Canada, 19 E-mails and 11 PM’s. Now I will say now that some...

Arsenal fought dearly to preserve their one goal advantage and thanks to a great save, and horrible penalty from JR Riquelme, Arsenal advance to their first Champions League final.

Well done to everybody, but once again praise must go to the defense and Jens who kept another clean sheet. Couple of terrific saves from Jens.

Up the Arse, and…

Believe.

Hleb/Ljungberg/Reyes - Their industry will be vital to keep Villarreal on their heels.

Sol - He doesn’t need to be the hero, he just needs to avoid being the goat.

Jens - He’s going to have to make one big stop at some point. He’s been fantastic for pretty much the whole season, let’s hope that holds up.

Seeing Arsene Wenger’s hair has turned to all gray these days, I can’t help but thinking how much energy, effort and heart Mr. Wenger has put in Arsenal Football Club for the past decade.

I do have an impression - our boss probably cares about the club more than any other current players in the team. Not like no one else wants him. Over the course of his Arsenal career, there was interest from the France national team, Japan national team, Real Madrid, Barcelona. Had he chosen to go, surely he would have made more money, earn a bigger reputation. And in the case of clubs...

Well the emotions have had a little time to simmer down.
Let?s remember that this site will continue to be a great read as long as our ?rights? to say what we want are balanced with a respect for other contributors rights to hold and express contrary opinions.
No one has a monopoly on footballing truth.

A few reflections from watching the Saturday game.

Flamster?I like that name! Our man for the first time since morphing into a left back was given a truly torrid time. I mean if Spurs were more clinical in their finishing Flamini would have been made to look pretty...

Couple of final thoughts…

Early in the match one of the commentators noted that “Arsenal’s entire business model is built around Champions League football.” Really? I haven’t heard Arsenal say that. Arsenal’s management doesn’t strike me as the type to make that sort of mistake.

It also presupposes that without Champs League football next year Ashburton Grove will be an empty bowl. Nonsense. If there is one season where Arsenal could play no European football and be ok, it will be this first season when thousands upon thousands will simply...

All Arsenal fans have a right to react to incidents involving Arsenal and all fans have a right to vent anger and joy at various issues related to Arsenal but surely there has to be a line drawn at the level of posts that have been posted recently after the Spurs draw….

Guys, did you see the way AW reacted to the Spurs goal, did you see how Lehman rushed out to confront Davids or how Pires also confronted him….or how Henry reacted to scoring the goal (his celebrations) - what do they have in common that the rest of the Arsenal team do not - age!! They are all older and experienced...
