Mike Kavanagh is at Highbury this week with Rick Breese watching a great week of football. He’s now posted his photos online so you can take a look at what he is seeing. Great seats–thanks Rick!

    Absolute Fantastic collection Mike.
Looks like you had great seats and took some excellent photos.
I hope everything works out for Rick Breese.
Please advise on how we can help him… if possible.

    Cheers

(PS… the first image of the doors is my favorite! I forgot to take that picture when I was there!)

Great pictures. I saw my season ticket seat and one of my mates in a blue top I think. I miss the seat more :-) Looks like you had a great time, makes me sad to think I won’t be back to Highbury again. Nice pictures. I’ll take some of the Emirates toilets next season! Feeling lonely here in Minnesota!

Great work, Mike. Love the tunnel mural stuff. And again, the bubbleshare thing is awesome.

Its becoming more and more painful to think about saying goodbye to that fanstastic place. But, onward and upward.

Speaking without any bias (um), I just loved seeing the sea of Orange in the stands. It made me feel right at home.

Interesting article about tonight’s Barca/Milan tie. A bit jinxing, but I don’t think Myles is powerful enough to hurt us.

That said, I found the post script especially interesting:

    PS
I’ve been asked by a nervous reader, Clarky, to stop making confident predictions.

He says : All too often, your ‘firm’ predictions about key Arsenal games over the past two seasons have been wrong ! So please don’t put a hex on us by being certain that we will beat Villareal in tomorrow’s article. Thank you !!!!

Am I superstitious? Not really. And I already know what I will write tomorrow.

    As in our Canadian defector?

  8. gerard Says:

    “As in our Canadian defector?”

Defector as in Benedict Arnold who moved to the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, where he lived after leaving the USA. They where called Empire Loyalists up here because they stayed with King George. **AYE CARUMBA**(censored) no, they called Arnold a “traitor” so he wasn’t a defector. One man’s traitor is another man’s defector. It’s all about touching “home free” before you get caught.

It’s the American way ScottyUS, so many choices and so much money. Shall I be an ArseAm or a ArseCan - the choice is clear to me: my arse is always in the can - thus “www.ArseAmInCan.???” would be my prefered forum :)~

    High Clarky!
Just another Canadian thing, eh. High that is!

  9. stag133 Says:

Clarkey is worried about your predictions Scotty?
    Oh well…

    Here’s mine.

    We WIN.
    Should win COMFORTABLY.
I’ll go with 2-0 or 3-0, and its over.
We aren’t losing to Villareal at this point…
    No way, No how…
OFF TO THE FINALS Scotty… just outside Central Paris… Oui Oui!

  10. ScottyUS Says:

I’m more worried about Villarreal than I ever was about Real and Juve. They play like us. The questions is, “who will be the better us over two legs?” But then again, I’m always nervous, no matter who we play. I believe we’re focused and a better team, but how long can our makshift “D” hold out. Eh, ignore me.

There’s also something sneaky about them. They’ve got underdog status, like we do. I don’t like it. Sorry, moving on.

And actually, the P.S. was written by Myles. Clarkey apparently contacted him. I could be wrong, but how many Clarkeys are there who support Arsenal that are active on the internet?

  11. Clarkey Says:

Bloody hell, come back here for the first time in donkeys years only to find I’m the subject of intrigue. Wasn’t me though girls, I don’t read that whatever site that was (ANR?).

    Feelin’ up for tomorrow then?

  12. Clarkey Says:

If anyone in southern Ontario or upstate New York is interested, Arsenal Canada and Canada Spurs will be playing a match in a few weeks (exact date TBD.) If anyone, ArseAm or not, is interested in playing send me a private message here on my ArseAm account. It can be ArseAm or not as this isn’t really an official ArseCan function, least I don’t think so and I’m the one setting it up.

If this goes well, perhaps we can plan for a future ArseAm v ArseCan match.

  13. ScottyUS Says:

Feck. Was sure it was you. You don’t read ANR? Don’t believe it.

Feelin’ up as hell for tomorrow. Nervous, as per usual. The way things have gone this season, if by some miracle we actually play to our potential, finish our chances, and end up winning the final and finishing fourth, it will be a bigger year for me than the unbeaten season. By half at least.

So how’s ArseCan? A veritable river of positivity, surely.

  14. ScottyUS Says:

    Heh…rippin’ off our get-together’s too, I see. ;)

  15. stag133 Says:

ArseCan is NO DIFFERENT than ArseAm.
I perused it for a while, but once the slings and arrows started targeting my man, TH14… I could have NONE of it. They were just as negative, no matter what they say.

    We’re KICKIN’ ASS tomorrow Scotty.
“Ain’t no stoppin’ us now, we’re on the move”…
Are you with me goin’ to Paris?!
    Oui?!

  16. Clarkey Says:

Naw, had never even heard of it until now.

I’ll say this about Villareal… if they beat us, then I hope to god they go on and win the bloody thing. Don’t reckon they will though. Beat us, that is.

Stag’s not wrong, ArseCan has its petes and its nicks ;)
